The Japanese Legend
If you accidentally get on the wrong train, it’s advised to get off at the next stop so you don't pay for an expensive return trip. The longer you wait to get off, the more expensive your return will be.
If you find yourself in the wrong job, and you’ve been there for many years, it starts to feel like you are in some kind of debt, it's not necessarily a financial debt, but it can keep you waking up each day regretting the years you’ve wasted away in a job that has an unfulfilling title and a salary that is not even worth it. What makes it much worse is that it has turned you into a totally different version of yourself.
This time debt exists in a wrong relationship as well. Perhaps you’ve invested a lot of time into it and now you find it difficult to walk away from it. Sunk costs are debt and that cost does not know anything about your feelings. People are waiting for something, whether it’s the right moment or a sign from the Universe to guide them in a new direction. The moment you’ve been waiting for may not come, the only chance is you have to make it yourself.
It is not hard to recognize that you are on the wrong track and people realize that. The even harder part is what happens when you decide to get off that train. The embarrassment and the inconvenience. All of it will seem unbearable to you but staying on the train will be worse. The train keeps going deeper and deeper.
It is a hard lesson that not many people learn. The train never stops and when they eventually get off, they have to face all of the things they’ve been avoiding and come up with a way to explain all the reasons for why they’ve been gone for so long. So start now on your journey back to where you’ve always wanted to be.
Never call it a failure of you get off that train, it was not going to take you anywhere you wanted. The real failure is you staying on it especially when you know better.
The station is nearby, you’ve seen it, so get off the train.

Another option would be to simply continue on the wrong train, embrace the adventure of chance, and discover opportunities you never consciously considered... ;-))
🥰🥰 you'll find good opportunities along the way but what happens to your objectives?
🎉 Congratulations!
