NEWBORN
She doesn't want to give her to anyone.
'It's okay, you can hand her to them. It's fine.'
Anhi looks at me like she is going to eat me alive.
'Okay, okay, keep her.'
The faint conversations around about her looking like someone. She doesn't have to belong to anyone, or look like anyone, or be anything. Give her a chance first.

I hover over the newly created relation of mother and daughter.
A moment ago she wanted to get it over with and now look at her, energetic as ever. Was it the life force draining her or the suspense?
Bed in the middle, family around, doctor standing beside me to take her, the mother holding her child.
Awkwardly I open my hands. She carefully gives her to me.
No intentions of becoming one and here he is, a father. Flesh so pure and new, so much to take care of. He wanted to hand her over to the doctor but as he holds her in his hands.
The concept of whether he will be a good one, or the people around, it doesn't matter anymore. No impression he wants to maintain in front of the doctor who stands there.
He can hold her for as long as he wants.
'She's the most beautiful thing ever.'
🎉 Congratulations!
