Silent Pact of Harmony

Before Adam and Eve, nature was conceived.
Both were brought to existence, along with something to heed.
An unspoken covenant, both were bound to keep,
A breach of which could bring unutterable misery.

A silent pact between two entities,
In which mutual respect must be upheld eternally.
The terms were laid; nature is man’s confidant,
To preserve and protect nature, man must lend a hand.

Worries, insults, and resentments that man divulges,
All these burdens, nature listens without judgment.
Mankind’s secrets, whispered in solitary,
Are guarded by nature with utmost confidentiality.

The rustling of leaves, friendly pat of the wind,
Offers a sweet consolation from deep within.
Gentle rebuke of the rain cleansing and wide,
Washes away the turmoil, eating us up inside.

Come now, humans, remember our silent pact of harmony,
I, nature, your nearest kin, assure you: solace can be found in me.
When all is finished, you take your final breath,
Trust me, for in my arms, I shall cradle you gently, even in death.

P.S. I'm not very good at writing stories, so I'm taking a chance with poetry, which I’ve recently found to be an endearing activity.😅
