Yep I agree wholeheartedly I was enticed a few years ago to buy in on a penny stock list and the stocks at the time only moved a fraction because the research they had done if any was bad but I know they were still making money whichever way the stocks moved.
To avoid such situations especially in cryto trading what I do is set a limit. Immediately the limit is bridged I automatically sell off instantaneously and avoid big loss. And if it gains I go home happy
