Today's dream: Rescue Mission Half-Success

in #undefined7 years ago (edited)

We went to a palace and talked to a prince. Apparently, he was evil and had kidnapped a few people, among which were our leader's wife and the lover of a man we found on the way. We went as a group toward a cottage in the forest and the weather was really nice. The sky was bright, the air was slightly humid and the temperature was neutral, if a tiny bit on the cold side.

We sat there and talked for a while. I observed a lot of things around me, the faces, the stuff that was lying around, and then I saw that the man we had found on the way was getting a bit impatient and said that we should go and rescue his lover and the leader's wife. We left the building. I looked toward a man with a shotgun who was resting against the right side of the door and he was smiling toward the distraught man who wanted to save his wife. He said something encouraging like "we got this" and started reloading the shotgun.

The shotgun was big, like 1.2 m long, and it looked very rustic. It was covered in dry mud and it was resting with the hand grip on the ground and the tip toward the sky. The man was holding it and as he looked toward the distraught man, he started reloading it over and over again, slowly, like crack crack, waiting, crack crack, waiting, as if he were asserting dominance or something. I was wondering in my mind why the hell he was doing that. If he reloaded it once I would get it, like put 2 bullets in and then reload once, but it was so senseless that I was getting a bit annoyed and freaked out.

But he stopped and walked toward the hole with us. When we went to the prince's house, we got a key! And now that we were in the hole, the leader stood on top of the "door" (it was a 1x0.4x0.1 m concrete block with a big keyhole and a big handle and you had to carry it in order to lift it) and put the key in. The key was very colourful and shiny. We jumped in and as I came into the hole, I heard the voice of an old man inside and other people. There were a lot of people in this very dark sewer-like hole.

We asked for the distraught man's lover and the old man said that she had died. I was like "yeah, apparently you can't hold people for 2 weeks without water or food and expect them to survive". Then we asked for the leader's wife and someone pointed to a skeleton that was lying by my feet. The skeleton was brown and covered in mud. It suddenly moved and I heard a faint female voice coming from it. She asked for water. I felt compassion toward her, turned to such a state (in my head, she was just extremely skinny, not really a skeleton, though that's what she looked like, all bones, holes for eyes and nose... just skinny).

The man with the shotgun grabbed a bottle from thin air and put the bottom of the bottle against the skeleton woman's mouth on the ground and water started pouring out from it. I found it strange but didn't mind it as she was finally having some water. I was hopeful for her recovery.
