Paradox of love lyrics
Verse I
.You were always free to make your move.
Yeah, I never could imprison you:
Even if I wanted to.
Watched you take off on the wing:
A beauty rare that made me sing.
I hadn't even opened my mouth
When praise and curses freely flowed out.
Chorus
.Paradox of love—I'm still in awe
No matter how long it's been:
You're on my mind, it still feels raw.
I spend my days in contemplation
Of sin and dynamics of law.
Verse II
.You were always judge and juror too.
You write your own emphatic rules,
& I'm obliged to play along with you.
I saw you run the forest path,
When the lightning struck, I only laughed.
Through the fiery ash and aftermath
I still sat stolid, working on my craft.
Chorus
.Paradox of love—I'm still in awe
No matter how long it's been:
You're on my mind, it still feels raw.
I spend my days in contemplation
Of sin and dynamics of law.
Notes
I didn't even intend on making this song today, but I was altering and chopping up a beatbox recording when this melody hit me. I recorded the vocals alone with the beatbox. Then I cut some kick to match the pattern on the beatbox, and some snare to beef up the sound. Also put some bass and some wah rhodes on the track. I decided to make a solo section for synth, and added some horn samples (ugh, nothing like real horns: hope they're not too cheesy!) The tuning was weird because I just matched whatever I already sang in with the beatbox. (ended up being A = 434 hz.) Definitely a demo because it's got some janky moments, but I still think it's worthy enough to share with you all and get your feedback! If you like the photos in this post, all credit goes to Carlos R., be sure to check out his Deviant Art page at this link.I feel like I'm getting my music skills back with this daily practice. Thanks for listening to my music! Have an amazing day! I love each and every person that is reading this post (and the ones that aren't, too.)

I was just listening to DSounds in the background and I recognized your voice. There is so much soul and love. Your falsetto is grooving. The paradox of love is an amazing piece. I wonder how you can do this every day. I like what you did with the mic fading in and out. It is a really catchy sound and with that funk you can catch our hearts and lift us up to a new level. Your hard work and effort shines through this production. Thank you for your overwhelming love. I'm sure this love will spread as you music spreads to each of us.
Oh wow that's so cool that it synchronistically started playing @mineopoly! I love the @dsound platform, it's hosting a budding revolution of new music. Amazing. Thanks for your kind comments and devotion to practicing unconditional love. It is a very powerful force. In fact, it is the only reason we are even here. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to create art for a living, so I try to work hard every day to consistently bring something of substance and quality to share. I really can't express how blessed I feel by it. It's incredible.

Hey Sarah, thanks a lot for taking the time to read/listen to my work and comment. You're very welcome. Feel free to stop by anytime and leave any feedback you want to share. Have a nice day!
I shall indeed pop back your work is lovely. Thanks so much.
Really enjoyed this - great melody and loved the accompaniment of beat boxing and other tracks. Nice to hear you singing also!
Thanks! Yeah, I feel very rusty with my vocals, but at the same time it's something that feels so natural to me. I should start doing my vocal exercises again, ha.
I feel a lot of genres in the song a little rock, classics and funk, jazz maybe, but it's the typical song you can sing while gyrating, maybe with your woman in the dance floor

Horns are great! As my daughter says "Mum, play the song with the horns" Love your voice too man!!
I can say I think a bit tenor and bass voice though
Lol, that's awesome and a super cute quote! Thanks for checking out my tune :-D Glad you dig it!
Yes, you have been dug. You ever heard of the band six60 from New Zealand?
lmao @kaykunoichi. No I haven't, should I have? xD
Well, I'm a Hip Hop bead myself but six60 are my guilty pleasure lmao.I can't assume what music you like but thought i'd mention them. I guess the only reason is because you both have great voices xD
Ohhh that's dope thanks for getting me in the know about them @kakunoichi. I like a lot of different styles but anything with a groove is high up on the list :-D
^_^
Damn you got a great range of pipes on you! I enjoyed the beat, your vocals and no I didn't hear anything cheesy. Hope to hear more!
Haha thank you @steem-samiam. I'll definitely be coming with more, stay tuned! Appreciate your support and thanks for listening to my music :-D
Beautiful words... And a lovey rhythm. You are so incredibly talented!
Hey, thank you @wandrnrose7! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Hope you've been well :-)
great harmonies @d-pend soulful. I'm pretty jealous of your wah rhodes patch. Yamaha?
Thanks man! Yeah it's a patch on my Yamaha Montage. It really has excellent sounds built in. So far I've just used presets, though there's so much more you can do with it.
Man this is funk-funk-funkkkkyyyyy... Snapping my fingers, bobbing my head, and if I could dance I'd get up and get dowwwnnnn!
Man, this is sick... so sick... You're like... UGH... How jealous I am of your talent man, lmao. Keep this up my man!
Word @jamesgetsit! I'm stoked the tune had that effect on you! If a song doesn't make me move while I'm making it I think something's wrong, ha!
Appreciate you checking it out dude. I definitely will keep it up :-D
