Adieu, ces bons vins de Lannoys, by Guillaume Dufay (ca. 1400-1474)

in #dsound7 years ago

As you may have guessed, I'm putting together a set of backing tracks that will be put to use when I wish to perform Renaissance style music on recorders and there are no other players available. This song is a "rondeau" which follows the basic song structure ABAAABAB. I've transcribed the "chansons" for Alto, Tenor, and Bass recorders, and supplemented the background with harp and pizzicato cello. Please enjoy, and if you download and/or perform, be sure to credit both the composer, and myself for the arrangement!

FYI this 15th century song is in Public Domain, and there is therefore no copyright infringement.
