RE: Explaining Steemit - Importance of Witness, Steem Power Delegation and Transacting on the Platform

in #dtube8 years ago

Thank you for putting the time to prepare this video.
I agree that the music aspect is going to be big.
Once I heard about that sort of development I immediately thought of this girl who went to my high school and has been traveling and growing her music career.
I will eventually message her out of the blue when I understand everything allowing me to explain it to her properly.

Also @alao do you know how much interest our steem power makes? I see mine going up 0.001 steem power every couple of minutes...is there a fixed % that i dont know about? I have been trying to catch up to all the changes steemit has been through since i joined July 2017...so far i know the inflation rate has been changed and also takes 13 weeks to power down vs 2 years

Is there still a 10:1 supply merger every 3.32 years or is that gone now?

Great video you have a new follower !

Yea steem is inflationary. I'm not exactly sure what the interest rate is but they wanted to incentivise users to power up. Here is one article I found but it doesn't really answer the question. I think it might be like less than 1%

I have a feeling that originally there was some crazy compound interest before one of the forks. if you were to check out i had bought steem and powered up (at a super high price in terms of satsoshis but not dollars) and maybe doubled my steem power through interest alone.
