"FOR WE HAVE HEARD HOW THE LORD MADE A PATH FOR YOU THROUGH THE RED SEA WHEN YOU LEFT EGYPT. And we know what you did to Sihon and Og, the two Amorite kings east of Jordan River, WHOSE PEOPLE YOU COMPLETELY DESTROYED."
Joshua 2:10 (NLT)

• The LORD made a dry path for the Israelites through the Red Sea, when they left Egypt.

  • God wrought miracles in the lives of His people, to make His greatness known.
  • What God has done in your life or wanted to do would be for the glorification of His name, and to showcase His power to the world as the Sovereign God.
  • It was not the Israelites who destroyed the two Amorite kings; Sihon and Og, but God was the One (Psalm 44:3).
  • God is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Whatever were recorded in the Bible as God's deeds can be repeated, He is able to do it again in your life (Romans 15:4).
  • God wanted to demonstrate His power, to those who stand as enemies, He wanted to prove Himself strong on your behalf (2 Chronicles 16:9).
  • The people of Jericho had heard what God did for Israelites; how He parted the Red Sea for them (Exodus 14:21), and how the kings of Amorite with their people were destroyed (Numbers 21:21-35).
  • Those who yielded to the devil, trying to stand on your way, would become a testimony in the mighty name of Jesus.

• In God's Kingdom on earth, all you needed is in Him. However, there is an aspect of Christianity about spiritual warfare. It is not physical battle like the days of Joshua, but spiritual (Ephesians 6:12).

  • That said, the outcome of the battle is already determined or known. Jesus won the battle, defeated the devil and his cohorts, made an open show of them (Colossians 2:15). Jesus Christ triumphed over the devil and all his activities.
  • The devil being the arch-enemy of the believers in Christ Jesus, hated those who pledge their allegiance to God with perfect hatred (Revelation 12:17).
  • There are human agents working with the devil to accomplish his evil plans on the earth (2 Timothy 2:26).
  • Your land of promise or inheritance which symbolizes things God has ordained for you to have, the devil might want to hijack the land (John 10:10).
  • Thus, If you are being denied of a thing, either material or spiritual, it means you have to deal with the opposition, the power that wanted to rob you of the blessing, that you might possess your possessions (Isaiah 49:25).

• God has made provision for the believers for all we might be needed on the planet earth, but the devil might want to stand on their ways that they would not be able to access the blessings.

  • Take authority over the devil, demons, and the human agents of the dark kingdom. You have the authority through the name of Jesus Christ (Luke 10:19).
  • You have the authority through the name of Jesus, the Word of God and the blood of Jesus (John 16:23,24; Philippians 2:10,11; Isaiah 55:12; Hebrews 4:22; Revelation 12:11).
  • The Kingdom of God operates by principles. If you failed to know or practice the principles of the kingdom that are found in the Bible, your inheritance might become elusive—difficult to get.
  • You have to live and practice the Kingdom principles for whatever God has ordained for you to materialize.

• Rahab shared what they had heard about the God of Israel. Her testimony to the spies who were sent to explore the land of Jericho further attested and strengthened their faith to do what God has said or told them to do.

  • God through His act made Himself known to the known world of that time (Romans 1:19,20).
  • Let God demonstrate His power through the problems you are facing. God wants to announce, make Himself known, through the problems that confronted you.
  • You do not run, you stand to resist the enemy, the devil, because the Lord is on your side (James 4:7).
  • The news of God's doing in your life would definitely send fear to the camp of those who are against you (Joshua 2:8-11).

• Note: Spiritual battle principles are:

  • Know your God Intimately, for those who know their God are strong and do exploits (Daniel 11:32).
  • Live by the word of God, let the word of God be your guide and the standard of living (Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:1-3; James 1:22-25).
  • Be sensitive to God's leadings by building a strong fellowship with the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:14).
  • Let God be your focus, do not focus on the things of the world; material things flow to the people who make God their priority (Psalm 121:1; 1 John 2:15).
  • When you make material things your focus, neglecting God, you may become a prey in the hand of the enemy—the devil (Matthew 6:33; Colossians 3:2).
  • Build a strong fasting and prayer life. Walking with God involves sacrifice, and dedication, that is, submissiveness and total commitment (Acts 13:2,3; 14:23; Corinthians 11:27).

• Christianity is not a funfair

  • The things in the physical world are not as real as the things in the spiritual realm, and the spiritual realm controls the physical realm—the physical world.
  • Some think, even some believers, that If they could succeed materially, they would live peaceably in the world, but it is not true.
  • If you are not strong spiritually, even with your material success, you could be a prey in the devil’s hand. The spiritual controls the physical!

• It is my prayer that you will not be a prey in the hand of the enemy in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. And you will not fail in Jesus' name.

  • Should there be any sickness in your body, I declare that you are healed in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
    Peace!

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. As you took the steps A and B your name is written in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).

  • If you took the steps As highlighted above, congratulations, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!
