Tonight's the night - decision time on Flamingo Land
Hi Everyone,
Tonight at 6pm BST is the night where everyone in West Dunbartonshire, especially for the many in Balloch, to turn up to the West Dunbartonshire Council Chambers in Church Street, Dumbarton this evening to help oppose the Flamingo Land plans (somehow named Lomond Banks). It's important that we turn out to stop this because if we don't, the corrupt establishment will have it's way. It was very disappointing that not a single SNP politician turned up to speak with the packed out hall of 267 people (with 2 dogs) in Alexandria Parish Church in Balloch, as expressed by one member of the audience who has an SNP membership. Even though Council Leader Jonathan McColl (SNP) was on fire at a previous meeting with Scottish Enterprise, National Park and Lomond Banks (Flamingo Land) asking them just as hard questions as Councillor Jim Bollan, his actions are proving to be other than words. It seems that unlike last year when he had to face a hall full of passionate people opposing the bigger plans on Flamingo Land and state he had to change his mind upon seeing the people react, he has since made a U-turn as of recently. For someone who advocated in the 2017 local elections that the public would be allowed to witness any council meeting via webcams and audio recordings to improve transparency, it seems that, especially at the aforementioned council meeting, he will only allow the recordings when it suits him. Where is the transparency in that?
Hopefully everybody will turn up before 6pm BST tonight. Let's make it peaceful, to put across the truth vibration that democracy must be listened to, especially the wishes of the 1169 people compared to 54 who object to not wanting to see their beautiful Drumkinnon Woodlands and the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond taken away from them by greedy executives.
