Bracelet-style keychain | Las 3R-S30W2
Greetings friends and welcome to my blog. Today we are making bracelet keychain and I am glad to be a part of this challenge. This is my first time attempting something like this.
At first I felt that I wouldn’t be able to participate because I didn’t have a sewing machine. But this morning, I just had an insight. You can do it with needle work. Woow. I was excited and decided to give it a try and it was awesome .
Let’s dig in as I show us on how I was able to use my thread and needle to make a keychain bracelet.
Describe a step-by-step process for carrying out your recycling project. Introduce the origin of your fabric scraps. Where did they come from?
Materials used
- Clothes pieces
- Needle
- Thread
- Key chain
Here I have made my keychain bracelet from a short my friend trashed. She just had this short that her friend sewed for her. It is a beautiful short but the first day she wore it out, the short tore on the bottom.
She said she was about entering the bus and the heard the noise of a tear. The short ripped opened and she had to use her bag to cover herself until she got to the market where she bought a shawl to cover herself until she got home.
She was very mad and said she wasn’t going to wear the cloth again. So she kept it on the floor for us to use as rag. I had to get the pieces for the bracelet from the shorts turned rag.
Procedure for making my bracelet.
I cut out some pieces of the short with razor blade. The short had two different types of material. I made my keychain with the combination of both.
I didn’t have a sewing machine so I had to use my needle and thread. I joined the two materials in the edge to make them longer.
I then folded one of the edge inside and sewed along it to the other end.
I also folded the other end inside and sewed along it to the other need to get a clean long and one material.
Then it was time to add my key chain. I folded the two ends together, the put in my key chain and did I double fold to get it locked in.
I sewed the double fold with my needle and then the keh chain was ready to be used.
I attached a video posted through speem that is a vivid description of how I was able to make my bracelet keychain making process possible.

You really made the most of those shorts—I love those polka dots, girl. Hand-sewing is allowed for this challenge, so don't worry. I hope to keep enjoying your work. See you soon.
