Response To -> ecoTrain QOTW: What is stopping you from moving to the ecoVillage of tomorrow?
The question:
Moving to live in an ecoVillage, in a different location, with different people, in a whole new lifestyle will mean lots of changes! Some of these changes may be positive, and some may be negative, and some of them may require you to let go of certain things. If you think about moving to live in an ecoVillage, or rural community, what things would you consider? Would you choose to not make the change because you would have to give up certain things? What keeps your where you are right now? Do you love the work you do so much that you wouldn't want to stop? Do you need to be near family or friends and wouldn’t want to let that go? Are you too scared to give up everything you know and jump in to the unknown? Perhaps we are scared to give ourselves up!?
I've missed the deadline for the @ecotrain QOTW but wanted to respond anyway, so here goes...
If I honestly consider this question, the answer that I arrive at is "Nothing". I'm not saying that I have fully embraced the unknown or that I don't have any fears about how this would work in practice. Just that my desire to participate in the creation of an alternative way to live and be together is stronger.
The caveat to my answer is that I haven't met a group of openhearted, conscious people who feel the same way. I see a living planet of abundance and prosperity that has been overlaid with systems and beliefs of scarcity. I feel that the people involved need to move beyond the scarcity mindset before the ecoVillage of tomorrow will manifest and be successful.
Practical concerns are important but I believe that they are secondary in comparison. People with a oneness or unity consciousness will find solutions that benefit everyone.
Things are changing quickly these days, both inwardly and outwardly, and it seems to me that the timing is right for this endeavor to succeed. The updated @ecotrain mission is very inspiring and I believe that Steem is a place that brings like minded/hearted people together.
In other words, everything is lining up nicely!
Great response and that idea of getting rid of the scarcity mindset really rings true to me.
This is something that just recently have had my eyes open to and a lot of it was due to my interactions and the possibilities on Steem and being able to see the abundance around us! Especially with groups like the @Homesteaderscoop which actually created a free international community marketplace that can operate on a gifting economy or bartering or exchange of goods for STEEM,SBD BTC ETM or USD
I'm totally enjoying the possibilities that are opening up especially with @Eco-alex EcoVillage of Tomorrow!
Glad you decided to respond even if you missed the deadline!
My feeling is that crypto is a stepping stone towards a true gift economy where the idea of exchange is no longer necessary because we all have total abundance.
There's a lot of high vibe energy here on Steem and people working in their own way to create a more abundant world for everyone. It's really great to see!
