How to Buy Electroneum - Pump and Dump or the Next Big Thing?steemCreated with Sketch.

The Electroneum app launch today made big waves in the small but dedicated community of this controversial Altcoin. Touting itself as "THE MOBILE CRYPTOCURRENCY", the creators claim that mass adoption by smartphone users will fuel growth and spread. Birthed from a massive ICO (one of the most successful ones ever), ETN is definitely is making headlines -- but is it worth the hype?

At 10:49 UTC, a few hours before the launch (ahem--relaunch) the price was 745 Satoshi (.00000450). However, over the next 12 hours, price fluctuated wildly, with massive spikes of +/- 50% happening every hour or so. As of writing this article, the price sits at 500 Satoshi and seems to have somewhat stabilized, at least in comparison to the incredible volatility just before and after launch.

Are you interested in purchasing ETN? If so, know that only one exchange currently accepts it -- Cryptopia.co.nz. It is a smaller exchange and largely untested, so I would advise you proceed with caution. If you're still interested, these are the steps you should take:

How to Purchase ETN through Cryptopia Exchange

Step 1: Go to Cryptopia.co.nz and make an account. Activate it, and make sure you turn on features like 2 factor authentication for added security

Step 2: Deposit any amount of cryptocurrency by selecting the "deposit" tab in the top right, beside your username.

ETN can only be purchased with those 5. Once you have one of these currencies, you're all set to buy your ETN!
