VIDEO: Guided Meditation for Responding Well to Anger, Sadness and Fear

in #emotions7 years ago

These 3 emotions are often demonized, especially anger, but as I wrote in my article here on 3 types of anger, these types of emotions can be very healthy: http://www.elephantjournal.com/2015/12/why-anger-is-good-for-you-3-types-of-anger/

Fear's "Freeze" response can help you finally stop running away from yourself so that you can finally be STILL and face your demons.

There are at least 4 types of anger as I show in this diagram below:4 Types of Anger Final Version Subconscious & Emotional Limiting Beliefs.jpeg

Sadness is the feeling of letting go so that you can finally release all these emotions.

For example, one time at a movement "playshop", I felt resistance in my body. So I asked the pain for its message (see my article here on "Asking Pain for its message for more info on that: https://www.elephantjournal.com/2014/11/asking-pain-for-its-message/)/

I had a fear come up. Instead of resisting it, or shifting it with fake positive thinking, I allowed myself to fully feel the fear and asked for its message. I got the message...Then I fully felt it even more. I finally went to the bathroom so that I could allow myself to feel it completely...then sadness came through to help me release...I found myself curling up into a ball in almost fetal position and just bawling! My tears flowed freely! Then after that I felt such relief and freedom! It was amazing.

To help you fully feel and process these emotions, I made a Guided Meditation for you.
