RENEWABLE ENERGY - COAL VS SOLAR BASED ELECTRICITY -INDIA AS CASE STUDY

The Rajasthan 's Bhadla Solar Farm

When we talk about Renewable source of energy, what comes to your minds? These are energies from Sunlight,Rain, Wind, Water, Geo-Thermal. They are energy generated from Nature i.e Readily in abundant. So taking India as a focal point, we compare and contrast between Solar and Coal power.

Solar Toll decreased by over 25% in 3 months with the major attention on The Rajasthan 's Bhadla Solar Farm. A 100,000 hectare farm on the boarders of the Thar Desert.

At an auction for 500 MW production at the farm, the SECI -State Run Solar Energy Corporation of India managed to realize a record-low fee of (RS 2.44) equivalent of $0.03 per KW- Kilo Watt per hour (KW/h).Previously, the low charges was two days before when the fees entered a region of (RS 2.62) equivalent of $0.04 per KW/h during auctions for another phase of the Bhadla Solar Farm.

Steemians, does the maths makes sense?Solar energy fees are crashing through the Indian floors!

With this very low figures/fees, Solar power is even cheaper than the Coal- based Thermal power plants in India. The NTPC- the country's largest power company sells power from the Coal-based generating Station at (RS 3.20) equivalent of $0.05 per KWh.

By estimation, Solar-power generation capacity is expected in 2017 to reach 8.8 GW- Giga-Watts from 2016's 76% jump, to become the 3rd largest Solar market in the World........Based on BTI- Bridge To India, a Renewable Energy Consultant company

A consulting Giant, EY- Ernst & Young ,reckons India to be the WORLD'S SECOND BEST MARKET FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY INVESTMENT!

Let's give it up for India Steemians, and to heal the World let's all embrace Renewable Energy Source,Thanks

Are you familiar with Solar Flare Coin (SFC)? Or that Ethereum can be used to regulate electricity flow in distributed small (instead of having a huge solar farm, 1 panel in a village.) 2 way power grids? SFC can be built directly into the solar panels and then - the microcontroller watches the electricity generation and so does the SFC network! So the network issues you (SFC) based on how much power you generate- now you sell micropower within a small community in addition to incentives from SFC and your community.

Are you from India? Your comments are so full of knowledge. Not this one alone though! Most of them and these really helps passerby-steemians!

I live in Bellingham WA and before you think "wow bellingham" no one here is like me at all. People here think that rubbing dirt into a staph infection is better than antibiotics

Really?wow....do you have a link to this?will love to analyse it @stargarden

That would be great, I haven't researched the Solarcoin in a minute ... https://solarcoin.org/en/front-page/

Seeing further improvement which is great! Consider always putting a space just after your punctuation as it makes it more readable. Overall, good job!

Thanks a bunch for the observation @unmean-stweets ,i appreciate .

Thanks for the update on the Renewable Energy Options, I think Solar is still the best and most abundant.

Hi @stargarden great post. Nice to meet you in the chat as well :)

Interesting article as always, @oluwoleolaide!

i appreciate @vickaboleyn , thanks for reading through it.

We must support everything that has to do with the sources of energy production that do not cause damage to the ecology of our planet and that its cost is smaller than the existing ones

Very true, i couldn't agree any lesser.
