HARASSMENT - A book of suspense and mystery
Good morning, my beautiful community, today I will talk about a mystery and suspense book, written by Stephen King's top competitor, I hope you like it.
A novel written for the first time in 1973 by author Dean Koontz known for his horror, mystery and suspense novels, this time brings us a horror journey from Philadelphia to San Francisco and what was supposed to be a happy journey through the Country becomes a nightmare for our two protagonists.
He tells us the story of a fearsome psycho and mentally ill named, George Leland who persecutes the protagonists of the novel, Alex Doyle and Colin, an 11-year-old boy, who travel by road in search of Courtney, Alex's wife, which is in San Francisco. George has been in love with his former Courtney for years and not being able to see her with another man came up with a plan to eliminate Alex and Colin, finally remaining with the love of his life without anyone bothering them. The plan begins with a chase by George using a moving truck stepping on his heels, always keeping a fixed distance from Alex and Colin waiting for the moment of each stop along his trip to take every opportunity he can to try to kill them.
This story is practically a game of constant persecution and evasion, full of tension and anguish, which is increasing rapidly, with a rapid development and outcome since this book is short, consisting of 224 pages.
While this is not one of Dean Koontz's best books, but it is very entertaining, I consider it literature to hang out only, even though it is a good thriller and mystery, I loved Colin's character, for his age it is A very intelligent and mature child, with very curious ideals and thoughts. I really did not know that the book was so old until I looked for the publication date, the author, despite having simple dialogues in this book, wrote in a fluid and modern way that made me think that the novel was set in more recent dates and Currently, I sincerely noticed the prices and other details described in the book.
See you next time ♥
