Phantom of the Opera: Pretty Ugly and Devilishly Good

The Phantom of the Opera is the Broadway musical that I am most compassionate about seeing. And the reason why is because when I was 29 years old, my seriously funny mother was saddened by the music so much that tears rolled down the cheeks of her face. So, feeling this powerful effect, and hearing the phenomenal opera, deeply caused me to see the importance of other people's emotions, at all levels. And so, I highly recommend listening to the soundtrack of The Phantom of the Opera because one of the most liberating songs that actually moved me, was: “Music of the Night”.

And, of course, whenever I hear writers and actors and instrumentalists and lyricists go on and on about professional dreams to reach Broadway, I find myself reflecting on the first time I was deeply moved by a Broadway musical, which was The Phantom of the Opera, which plays fantastical music, by Andrew Lloyd Webber, as well as instrumental lyrics, by Charles Hart, and was like this devilishly good musical, when I was 29 years old. And that’s why I have a lot of compassion for The Phantom of the Opera , as a Broadway musical.
