It all depends.. buying coins with unlimited supply such as ETH are asking for disaster. Also stay away from anything promoted by the likes of Bloomberg and the mainstream media.
Clever indeed. Not many people know that Ethereum has no cap. They could literally issue as many tokens as they want! Sounds like a familiar story? The American dollar.
The fact that Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan among others are backing Ethereum should ring alarm bells to any likely investor. Look at it's price in the last month or so. They dumped it took all the n00bs money with them. Buyer beware of any coin that is partially pre-mined also.
Ethereum miners and developers have a vested interest in higher prices. Even if supply is unlimited, the major of entities involved benefit from higher prices.

As far as EOS goes, you totally called it when you said "based on this dude's track record..." Seriously folks, enuf said right there. I am buying. I have to get them on bitfinex but I am storing them on an android tablet wallet app.

EOS will crash harder than ETH did halving the price. Omar was shilling ETH when it was at $350usd. Then what happened? Don't get sucked in man there's better tokens out there.

There are so many projects out there right now that its overwhelming for new people coming in. They have a hard time following along and realizing the importance of the distinctions between he currencies/assets. Currently EOS tokens aren't being distributed as part of an ICO as Dan said in his interview with Jeff, there is a difference between selling a product and crowdfunding. They got all the startup money from the initial 200Mil.

Too many ICOs. Most will fail.
EOS does seem to have a lot of potential but Iam concerned with current valuations. At $1.8-1.9 a token and a total of one billion tokens st the end of the presale, that gives a market cap of just shy of $2 billion all for something that does not exist yet!! Seems a little steep.
Here is what many people have already figured out. Simply, this is the biggest game changer of them all. It's going to fulfill the promise not only of Ethereum but the whole Crypto currency phenomena and the interactive Internet itself, as well as realize the freedom-based dreams of Murray Rothbard, Ron Paul and countless others!
What's that sound? Listen closely, I hear echoes of Padre Hidalgo ringing the bell of freedom in 19th Century Mexico. ...listen...
However all this has nothing to do with how it's going to play out as an investment in the short term. That I don't know.
EOS contains the architecture to build autonomous organizational structures of our/your own. Call them super, multi-faceted community/enterprise Web Sites, your own specialized store or market, bank, school, health center, your own virtual community, and even your own government that actually works to reduce conflict and solve problems.
And it's not just about One Guy either. Dan will continue to attract the very best talent but he cares nothing about being some kind of Supreme Leader. Are you going to be jealous about a cog in the wheel? That's a waste of energy. Whatever is written in our heart, that's all that matters, let's manifest it.
