A World Of Illusion

Anyone that's ever read any of my work will know that I place a key focus on monitoring the increasingly interconnected self similarities between technology and aspects of biology, conscious awareness, physcial reality, spirituality and esoteric knowledge. Whilst I would consider myself a spiritual person, I'm fully aware that many people reading this will not believe in the existence of a soul. Whatever your your perspective and whether spiritual, religious , agnostic, or atheist, I still feel that the ideas contained herein will provide some compelling food for thought.

Until fairly recently our technologies have been refining, adapting to and interacting with, the physical realities of our world. We saw animals running with great speed, we wanted to travel faster, we saw birds in the sky, we wanted to fly, we saw the stars at night and we wanted to touch them. Several decades ago something began to change, and it changed without most people noticing. We went from mimicking our physical reality to attempting to duplicate the ethereal realm and our interconnection to it.

Whilst I believe this concept to be over simplified and oft misunderstood, at some level we are all interconnected, indeed quantum theory is beginning to show this ancient spiritual principle has validity. Certainly, a scientific fact is the truth that even within this earthly realm we are connected by a resonating electro-magnetic wave, the Schumann Resonance. With the advent of the internet to mobile phones to 5G, and quantum computers, we appear to be recreating technological interpretations of our metaphysical unity. With the internet of things (that will one day incorporate ourselves), cloud based computing, augmented/virtual realities, and the 5G glue that binds it all, it is also my belief that we are moving towards the creation of a synthetic unreality.

I've previously discussed the creation of a synthetic Shumann Resonance. I've mused about how a future godlike A.I could one day form the nucleus of a one world religion, and I've contemplated the possibility of a quantum connection to this hive mind synthetic god. I've also pondered the potential for our technology to morph into a trap for our mind, body and soul. Today I'm going to discuss an extremely interesting theory that speaks to a future synthetic singularity that catapults us into an alternate dimension, trapping us for eternity. Equally, depending upon your perception this hypothesis could be seen as a natural progression and the next stage in our evolution, a strange digitised nirvana/heaven. I will relay my perspective at the end of my post.

The Beginning

I’m going to start off slowly and then build in pace, much like our technology. To to start with let take a quick look at the humble beginnings of our current computers. I took this computer information from Here

First programmable computer

The Z1 was created by German Konrad Zuse in his parents' living room between 1936 and 1938. It is considered to be the first electro-mechanical binary programmable computer, and the first really functional modern computer.

First concepts of what we consider a modern computer

The Turing machine was first proposed by Alan Turing in 1936 and became the foundation for theories about computing and computers. The machine was a device that printed symbols on paper tape in a manner that emulated a person following a series of logical instructions. Without these fundamentals, we wouldn't have the computers we use today.

The first electric programmable computer

The Colossus was the first electric programmable computer, developed by Tommy Flowers, and first demonstrated in December 1943. The Colossus was created to help the British code breakers read encrypted German messages.

The first digital computer

Short for Atanasoff-Berry Computer, the ABC began development by Professor John Vincent Atanasoff and graduate student Cliff Berry in 1937. Its development continued until 1942 at the Iowa State College (now Iowa State University).
The ABC was an electrical computer that used more than 300 vacuum tubes for digital computation, including binary math and Boolean logic and had no CPU (was not programmable). On October 19, 1973, the US Federal Judge Earl R. Larson signed his decision that the ENIAC patent by J. Presper Eckert and John Mauchly was invalid and named Atanasoff the inventor of the electronic digital computer.

The ENIAC was invented by J. Presper Eckert and John Mauchly at the University of Pennsylvania and began construction in 1943 and was not completed until 1946. It occupied about 1,800 square feet and used about 18,000 vacuum tubes, weighing almost 50 tons. Although the Judge ruled that the ABC computer was the first digital computer, many still consider the ENIAC to be the first digital computing unit because it was fully functional.

The first stored program computer

The early British computer known as the EDSAC is considered to be the first stored program electronic computer. The computer performed its first calculation on May 6, 1949 and was the computer that ran the first graphical computer game, nicknamed "Baby". From here technological advancement began to gather pace.

I could write an entire article relating to these humble beginnings but I think you get the message. They were big, bulky, and expensive, possessing the same amount of processing power as a modern calculator! Ever since then we have been held within a universal law of complexity. This was observed by Gordon Moore in 1965 and has since become known as Moore’s law. It’s basically the observance of components and processing capability doubling in power roughly every eighteen months. We will come back to this later!

The Now

So it’s 2017 and the quantum realms of inner space are proving to be one of potential limitless causality and possibility, all bets are off! It would take a brave man to define the boundaries of the possible and to set the parameters of what a computer won't be able to do, these voices have fallen silent. The advent of quantum computing has leapt from the realms of possibility and theory to one of physical and sub-atomic reality in a literal blink of the eye. This seems to be building towards a future that’s leaving the understandings and comprehension of the many in the literal dust. Indeed the majority of people seem to have no understanding that much of this technology even exists, let alone how this new frontier is going to work.

The 2001 A Space Odyssey Connection

Please take a pause to watch the beginning of 2001 that I’ve pasted below, in connection to this post and the technology I'm going to discuss it’s really worth watching. For me it’s interesting how a comparison seems to have been made from the obelisk at the beginning of the film to the advent of the D-Wave quantum computer (image above). Some may think this is simply a clever observation, I happen to think it goes far deeper than that and speaks volumes as to this pivotal crossroads in human history.

The obelisk alters the entire course of humanity and spurs on the next stage of evolution. I suppose in hindsight you could think of it as a form of technology that modifies humanity via a resonant frequency. This vibration alters our DNA and perhaps within the quantum realm opens up areas of the mind that connect us to some kind of collective pool of consciousness and awareness. A stage managed evolution.

Quantum Crystal Balls

Regarding the synthetic reality, we could think of the quantum computer as being a re-interpretation of quantum nature of mind. The promise of a quantum computers ability to interact with alternate dimensions is (for me) a fascinating concept. In some ways perhaps it qould be easier to think of the quantum computer as a technological crystal ball. A fortune tellers/techno shamans ball that has the abilty to lift the veil, peer into different realms and then bring the information back to this physical plain of existence. When you think about the profound nature of this concept how long will it be before this ball (much like 2001) becomes a literal portal into the quantum realm. Are we birthing a technology that will eventually become a physical bridge between the multi-dimensional nature of quantum realities?

What The Hell Is Going On??

Is our current technology an advancement that’s been planned for a vast number of years? If so is it a great lie that will become part of the inverted synthetic evolution I’ve discussed in previous posts? From a different perspective when intelligence reaches a certain level are we supposed to create the next stage of our ascension? Or have we been misdirected and tricked into creating our own technological prison?

Is the next stage of our ascension supposed to come solely from within and is the combined power of mind and spirit the only technology we really need? Does the evolution of an externally manufactured technological ascension prohibit a comprehension of Gods kingdom within, and our connection to the greater whole? A lie that deviates us from our true purpose of finding balance within ourselves and our mother earth? Conversely, what could we achieve if the power of technology was in the hands of a civilisation that extolled and universally practiced the virtues of balance, love and compassion? Equally, if you believe in spirit then beyond our mortal coil everything we seek already exists, and so what are we racing towards? Should we simply create heaven on earth and savour each other and the moment?

If we lived in a balanced state of being, would an amalgamation of spirituality and technology enable us to create a world that lays beyond the comprehension of this moment in time? Conversely, does our current technology appear to be separating us from our real-time interactivity, humanity, and our spirituality? I certainly don’t believe it has to be this way, is this current state of affairs a subversion and intent? Once it reaches a certain level of refinement, intelligence,and automation, does the very act of birthing technology into this world imbue within it the divine polarities of natural law/good & evil? An external representation of our inner battle. If so, has this battle been taken into cyberspace? Has the natural process of slower spirititual and technological evolution been hijacked and subverted in order to keep us trapped, both technologically and spiritually? Have we reached for the secret too soon?

Yes we have never been more connected, but equally, we have never been more disconnected. Yes the advent of technology has the potential to free us from the shackles of control, equally there exists the possibilty that it will imprison us within a synthetic electromagnetic control grid. Yes the blockchain gives a tantalising glimpse of a world where people have wrestled control away from our archaic banking institutions. Equally, there is this risk that said institutions are working behind the scenes to use this technology as a tool that locks us into a cashless society and a new era of social control. One hundred years ago many still rode on horseback and lit their houses by candles, this all seems to be happening so quickly, where has it all come from and where is it going?

I have my own ideas and perceptions that relate directly to the direction of humanity and anyone that’s ever read my work will know I tend veer towards the hijacking hypothesis. I also strongly believe that we will never find the truth within black and white answers and as such the truth may lie within every one of those questions. For the purpose and nature of this post I’m going to leave these questions hanging, although I will revisit them at later dates. My aim with this article is simply that people ponder the ideas and hypothesis posed within it.

The Communication Quickening

From the humble beginnings of horns, smoke signals to newspapers, telegrams, radios, TV’s, computers, the internet and now possible quantum A.I connections. Alongside the increasing complexity of our computer technology there has been a communication quickening. Communication has now evolved at such a pace it’s now indivisible with all avenues of technology. All these areas have merged into one giant complex interconnected potentially inter-dimensional system that’s fast becoming a synthetic manifestation of our quantum connection. This system feels almost alive and equally seems to have an unquenchable thirst and hunger for greater communication, connection and information. Where is this all going? With the creation of such advanced technology have we now created an unstoppable monster that will eventually consume and pull us all into a technological web?

The Hermes Paradox & The Transcension Hypothesis

The Transcension Hypothesis is an extremely interesting concept/idea put forward by John M Smart and I have fused a few of my own ideas along with aspects of Terence Mckennas complexity/novelty theory into the following few paragraphs. Like Ray Kurzweil, Smart is a brilliant man but equally I have some deep reservations about some of his directions for humanity. That’s not to say I think he has an agenda or is part of some kind of nefarious master plan. But I do think scientists (or in respect of Smart futurists) often become so involved and single minded in their work or worldview that their brilliance can come with an aspect of naivety. This is used to great effect throughout many compartmentalised government institutions, the scientists become so focused on the task at hand that they fail to take a step backward and see the bigger picture. Within this compartmentalised agenda many otherwise good people are creating weapons and technology that have the potential to be used for great evil. But this is a story for another day.

I’ve philosophised on the dangers and pitfalls of technology more than the vast majority of anyone I know. But for a minute let’s pull back and put all religious, spiritual, and conspiracy sensibilities to one side and allow our minds to explore a completely different perspective.

Transcension & Moore’s Law

The transcension hypothesis is a theory that relates to what happens after the technological singularity. This is a hypothesis that was put forward as an attempt to answer Hermes paradox. The paradox relates to the age old question of are we alone? Indeed if the universe is billions of years old and within it holds potentially limitless possibilities for life forms that may have been evolving for billions of years, then where is everybody?

Perhaps as with all aspects of polarity and duality there are potentially two evolutionary processes running side by side. We could have two branches of evolution, one that's to a certain point biological, but then (for those willing to partake) branches off into the synthetic realm. Biology and technology merging into a singularity. Sound crazy? Let’s take it back a notch or two, as I have shown in relation to computer technology we seem to be obeying some kind of complexity law (Moore’s Law). If we have 1000mhz one year then in eighteen months it will become 2000mhz and then in a further eighteen months 4000mhz. This law has proved to be a constant but within it’s confines the complexity increases exponentially.

Back To The Future

Fast forward to today and we’re now walking around with mobile phones in our pockets that are relatively a billion times cheaper, a million times smaller, and hundreds of thousands times more powerful than the computers of yesteryear. Indeed the computers of the past would have cost relatively billions and would have required entire buildings to house them.

Now let’s take a look into the future. another 10, 50, 100 years of Moore’s law and complexification. What was a previously a trillion mhz of power eighteen months ago is now two trillion. The technology is now like a runaway express train that no longer needs a driver, but where is it going? Don’t forget alongside the complexification of quantum A.I computing we have communication complexity and technological miniaturisation. The three have now merged into a literal alternate reality.

What is achieved by a quantum super computer in 2017 can now be squeezed into a processor the size of a speck of dust. We have now reached the age of post singularity and are beginning an era known as STEM, the compression of space, time, energy and matter. Everything is compressed and miniaturised, more inter-connection, more compression, less energy use, less matter, a metaphysical technological quantum mind murmuration of multifarious multiplicity. Overlapping, intertwining, complexifying contusions of multiplexual space and time illusions. We have reached a point of such compression and inter dimensional singularity that it inverts the space time continuum and creates a man made black hole that literally sucks us in and then catapults us out of the solar system and into an alternate reality.

On the other side of this inverted reality we find a multitude of alien life that have been waiting for us to reach this next stage of self created evolution, the transcension. We then understand that all the pain and bloodshed spilled over the course of human civilisation has in effect been an elongated birthing process.

In relation to this post the stargate sequence at the end of 2001 (below) is a fascinating watch.

This kind of ties in with aspects of 2001 A Space Odyssey. I think Kubrick was trying to say that through our technology (the creation of HAL 9000) we had reached a point where we are ready for the next stage of our evolution, from this perspective was Kubrick the first proponent of Transcension? If you continue watching after this scene the last few minutes will play. The actor basically goes through a process of an advanced evolutionary quickening and is reborn as the star child. The star child at the end signifies both the first seeds in the birth of a new era and equally humanity growing from childhood into adulthood. It's interesting how many aspects of this film tie into elements of our impending technology and ideas I've discussed in this post. I believe Kubrick was a genius, I also believe he held much inside knowledge and many clues relating to this knowledge are held for perpetuity within his fims.

Conclusion

There will be many people split on this hypothesis and as time passes I believe the lure of a technological nirvana will be incredibly strong. One day to connect or not will be the question of the age, perhaps the most profound choice we've ever been given. The trouble is as much as I appreciate the hypothesis it gives a huge amount of trust to a power structure I distrust with every fibre of my being. I refuse to be connected to a synthetic unified electro-magnetic field of my own volition.

It also takes for granted that we don't have a soul, I believe we do. I believe we undergo a rebirth through death, I also believe much of this technology is a synthetic interpretation of a divine reality. If so I'm more than prepared to hold out for the true experience that I believe exists between the higher realms of consciousness and divinity. What would you choose? I guess if you have no spiritual considerations it's an easier choice to make but equally there is still the trust element.
