My Books on Amazon and What's Next?

You might not know I have books published on Amazon Kindle since I rarely talk about them or publicize them. I wrote these in 2013 and 2014 when I was first coming out of the fog of my successful weight loss and eager to help others do the same.

I ran into a publisher who read the blog I had at the time and who encouraged me to write books. Publishing had been a dream of mine since childhood and I am glad I was able to see the reality happen.

As I plan for 2020 and make my goals for this coming year, I am thinking about publishing more books. I have many half written in my hard drives and was once on a plan to get more books out the door.

Maybe this will be the year I get back on track. These are the four I have so far and a bit about why I wrote and published each one.

Your Weight Loss Journey

This book is my attempt to help others break the bonds of obesity like I did. The theme of the book is getting over your excuses and just doing it.

The cavalry is not coming, Oprah cannot help you, and you are the captain of your own ship. It was not until I got over my excuses that I finally lost weight and this is what I advise you to do as well. Regardless of your "best" excuse, you CAN get over it and succeed.

Dry Skin Brushing Survival Guide

This book is a diary of my first weeks of Dry Skin Brushing and tips for others to avoid the hard time I had. Dry Skin Brushing is the act of dragging a brush over your skin once a day as a method of detox and to have softer skin.

Little did I know how strong the effect was, and I ended up thinking i was dying for about 10 days. I had all kinds of toxins in my body from the past 50 years of hard living, bad eating, and medical tests. As this drained out, it was very debilitating.

At the time, there were no books at all on the topic and few resources online. So I wrote this book as a warning to watch out and ease up if your have such bad effects like I did.

Now the topic of Dry Skin Brushing is a much more crowded field as other authors have written books and more information is online.

30 Days to Dry Skin Brushing

I wrote my second Dry Skin Brushing book when I realized the first was more of a memoir and that my advice was lost in it.

This book gives a plan of how to spend a month getting ready for this daily routine so that you will be prepared when you finally do get started. I feel like the advice is solid, helpful, and complete.

I Have Loose Skin on My Feet

My foot book is the one I am most proud of. When I lost weight, I did have some loose skin issues, and none were as difficult to deal with as the loose skin on my feet. My bones were sloshing around in this skin and making walking difficult. I realized that I would need to find a way to get that skin to shrink if I could.

Foot skin is tough and harder than the other skin on our bodies. I came up with some soaking and massage ideas to try to rehabilitate this skin, and it worked! Since then I have used these techniques on others when I was doing live-in coaching, and so many people have thanked me.

I have no trouble recommending this book to everyone. If nothing else, you will have good time of some self care. In the best case, you will be revitalized by taking the efforts recommended here.

What's Next?

I was working on food books when I dropped the ball. My idea is a series of books that will remind people of how to eat real food and make it a part of their diets. My food mantra is:

Eat Less Crap

Eat More Nutrition

The books I have partially written are about inexpensive and healthy foods you can easily add to your current diet. It's not about changing everything overnight. It's about adding good nutrition over time until it becomes a healthy habit.

Some of the foods I have worked on for this project are:

  • seaweed
  • citrus
  • greens
  • sweet potatoes
  • beets

I envision a book per food which would give information and recipes. I think they would be short, but I am not sure how short. No more than 20,000 words for sure.

I've been going over information I have about how to succeed on Amazon. All of my books sell, but will do better if I have more of them. Can I devote an hour a day to to the cause? Would that be enough? Is it worth diverting my efforts from STEEM for this time?

Hmm... Please stay tuned!

Hi @fitinfun, a modest tip of appreciation:
$trendotoken
Thanks!

Thank you so much, @rycharde!

Sounds like a great plan Sharon.

Maybe since you are more in Malaysia at the moment you can also give some local vegetables that are helping you as tips too.

And maybe in case those cannot afford fiat, will there be availability to be paid in steem? (according to the average exchange rate you best can whip up, and you can review the price maybe weekly or bi weekly)
