If the world isn't fair then why should you ?

Without a doubt the world has been setup to favour a few people. They could either be people of a certain race, class, gender, nationality or Ideology.

If you are a very religious person, you would be tempted to think that with God in control, the world ought to be a prefect place, but it's not because man has taken over and has turned the world into its own playground - with its own set of rules.

The world is divided into 3 groups: the first group are the privileged few, who work less and have more than enough; the second group are the hard-working average people, who work hard and have just about enough to be comfortable in life; the third group of people are the poor majority, these groups of people account for more than half of the earths population, they work the hardest but barely have enough to live by. If you are reading this am sure you belong to one of these three groups.

Why is the world setup this way, is to keep the world in balance or is it to ensure that those at the top remain at the top? Honestly, I don't know the right answer, but if there is one absolute certainty it's the fact that the world is not fair; if this is not the case, then why is it that the poor work the hardest but still remain at the bottom?

For the average worker, he works and saves into his fifies or sixties if he is strong enough to do so, then he starts living off off his savings, till he is about eighty or ninety, that is if his savings don't dry out before then. In all that time he is saving, he is forced to cut his life by half, has to deprive himself of certain luxuries just so that he can avoid other luxuries. He has to save for ten or more years so he can pay for his child's tuition, or even pay off that mortgage; but the summary of his life's story is that he deprives himself of what he truly wants to attain what he needs.

For the poor, his life is a different story entirely. He doesn't need to deprive himself, because he is already depreived; in worst cases he has to forgo all his wants and some of his needs to meet a few of his needs. His life is often a sad story, as he has to watch helplessly while his children fend for themselves; he has no choice because he cannot provide for their needs and sometimes he even has to borrow from them (a loan, which never gets paid back most times).

In this rat race, the average worker and the poor man, are the rats that have to spin their wheel for the privileged man to remain comfortable in his own wheel.

If this is the rule that society is built upon, then why do you have to abide by it ? Abiding by it means that the circumstances of your birth will determine your status in life; it means you have to keep working all your life just to meet your basic needs; it means that in your next life you have to pray that you don't come back to the bottom. However, now that you are still alive it's clear that to succeed, you don't have play fair, you have to bend society's rules, because the society isn't fair.

Sort:

Take this calculator and tell me how do you rank.

I am making a preconception article and I would really like to see why you are complaining about. What do you miss in your life and what would make your life better.

Don't bend the rules, in doing so you are f*cking someone else like you and if the majority bend the rules, what reason do we have for not being savages.
I can elaborate with you after you give me the ranking obtained in that calculator :P

Cheers!

@alexdory, I didn't say that we should all break the rules, I am talking about bending it so that you don't have to remain at the bottom. Breaking and bending are 2 different things. If you look at the world then you should know that the rules are made to favor a few individuals, and the rules will keep changing to satisfy a few.

To sometimes win in life, you have to do things unconventionally

Thanks for your comment

It doesn't sound good in any way.
I live in Romania, a country plagued with corruption, a large proportion of the people are "bending" the rules, they saw the ones in high places were corrupt and they starter to bend it a little and then more and then more and now they support the corrupt government so they can continue to bend the law a little. It's toxic and it's what drives corruption at all levels. I am researching methods to reduce it and so far the biggest bet is education and civics.
Which is why I reacted when I saw your post :D

I maintain my point. You don't have to "bend" rules to make it anywhere.
I am also assuming that you are not very poor by your reluctance to give me the results or telling me what you miss in your life the most. I can explain but I don't want you to be influenced by my data..

@alexdory, sorry to hear about what is happening in your country, the same thing is also happening in mine, so I can relate.

Should society continue to favor a few at the expense of many? why should people who work harder make so little, it doesn't make sense. The you think it is right for people to remain where they are simply because you want them to follow rules that don't favor them but only a few.

I appreciate your comments, but bending is not the same thing as breaking because in your country both the politicians and the masses are breaking the rules, while calling it bending.

What is bending the rules then?
Give me a few examples, please!

very good!
If the rule says you have to wake up every morning doing the same job everyday as a good law abiding citizen, then bending the rule could mean taking a different approach, you could learn to invest like the rich and overtime you could become rich. It doesn't mean that you will become a thief in a bid to make a quick buck, No! it just means you have to do things differently.

This is not bending anything, this is just being smart, if you have the gift of making the money.
However the investments need to also be good, not just look good. Being an investor means that you need to stimulate the economy, being a speculator in a crypto market is hardly what we are talking about. It makes money and others are doing it but it does the company selling the shares no good. In order to win by speculating someone else needs to lose. And it's not going to be rich people usually.

So invest in a services company, invest in a webdesign company, invest in something that has a future. My 2 cents :P

Then, what's bending the rules called ?

around 90%

To be in the richest 90% it would mean that you have to earn 150$ annually. This would mean a 12$ monthly.
So I will suppose you are in the 26% richest by presuming that you inserted your monthly income instead of yearly.

I have actually written for my Romanian community a financial guide and a guide into making decisions. Perhaps I will also have to write it in English.
The current world is open to us and you can see on the TV how the rich are doing it, and yes, some of them maybe don't deserve it, but the media makes us see that and keeps us feeling worse and worse about ourselves.

I know of the hardships of the underpaid since I have forever tried to help the poor, with little or no success. From my experience I can tell you that they need OVERSIGHT more than anything. They need education and they need to abide rules and not make rash decisions. It's these decisions that makes them lose their income toward high easy gains, it's these decisions that makes them leave their country and work in subsistence in some other country. Decisions, decisions.

They are under pressure from all sides, money, health, mentally, needs they can't fulfill. They live on the edge everyday, just making it to the other month, just able to feed their kids again.
I helped some, not with money, they suck at managing money, but with oversight, support and decision making. Some were open to it some were not.
It's the main reason I am on Steem right now. Not for my gain, I have only bought it, never withdrew it. Steem gives oversight, helps their financial and civic education and keeps people connected. They can post their last achievements and they can receive advice from other people. But this needs a pro-social approach and people to want to help.

Nice ideas, right?
Nice future for us here, I follow you already so I know that I have a real reason to do that.

Cheers and don't be afraid to ask me anything you want!
The network is what we make of it, not what the whales make of it, they are voting memes because it's very easy to vote them. If more of us do the right thing they will eventually be interested in it.

@alexdory, "I have only bought it, never withdrew it".. I admire your insight, it shows that you have great foresight...but sadly not many people have the luxury of saving all their earnings, steemit is almost a job for them.

I have learned a lot from your comments today, perhaps we can hangout on discord or steemchat ?
