My brother is a Physical Therapist and part of his job is to go to the homes of his patients who have difficulty going to the rehab clinic at the hospital. This service is called a "home care". Today he was given a new patient who lived in La Trinidad, the capital of the province of Benguet. So my Mom and I decided to bring him there. And while waiting we were able to go around the place. It was like a mini field trip. Most of the pictures I took were taken from the car so I apologize if some are not too clear.

La Trinidad is a Municipality just beside Baguio City. It is the capital of the province of Benguet.

We passed by one of the tourist attractions in La Trinidad which is known as the "Colors of StoBoSa", a comunity artwork designed by local artists.

Another famous attraction here in La Trinidad is the Strawberry Fields where one can go Strawberry Picking. Too bad it isn't strawberry season yet.

We also took this chance to visit the church at the San Jose Parish. This is the original structure but they are now building a huge church just beside it. This structure will be demolished as soon as the new one is finished. We purposely came to this church to visit a beautiful statue of Mary and Jesus.

The church is dedicated to St. Joseph that is why it is called the San Jose Parish.

This is the beautiful statue that we actually came to visit and pray to. The title of the statue is "Our Lady of Covadonga" and it is known to have been passed on to the people of La Trinidad by the Spaniards. It is the desire of the people to have her canonically crowned one day.

After going to the Church, we went to a local grocery / Department store nearby. I was super happy because we found a lot of things that weren't too expensive. Since I live in Baguio, where it is cold towards the Christmas season, I was lucky enough to have purchased 2 turtle neck tops for only 138 pesos. What a steal! And the quality was surprisingly good.

I hope you all enjoyed reading my mini field trip with my mother!
