Hi Stemian, I will give you an analysis of Group A world cup and my prediction of how well they will do.
Uruguay national team became the strongest candidate to win the Group A 2018 World Cup which contains host Russia, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Group A World Cup is a group with balanced competition. Russia national team, national team of Uruguay, national team of Egypt, and national team of Saudi Arabia have a good chance to pass to round of 16 play-off.

Uruguay
From team material, Uruguay is a decent team to occupy the favorite position to qualify for the round of 16 large. They have top-level players like Luis Suarez, Edinson Cavani, and Diego Godin.From the FIFA rankings, Uruguay became the country with the highest ranking (14), followed by Egypt (45), Saudi Arabia (67), and Russia (70). Three trials in 2018 also always led to victory for Uruguay.

Russia

If coach Stanislav Cherchesov can not lift the players' mental and confidence, then Russia will experience the fate of South Africa who failed to qualify for the preliminary round at the 2010 World Cup.

Egypt
Egypt is also in poor condition. Saudi Arabia could take advantage of stage fright suffered by Russia as host. If Russia fails to get full points in the match against Saudi Arabia, then they are in danger.
Conversely, the winner of the Egyptian duel against Uruguay will have a great chance to qualify. But the losers are not directly eliminated.
