I'm glad that most my portfolio was ETH when the bubble burst. There was no way that BTC's collapse wasn't going to drag the general market down with it, but ETH's fundamentals and use case seem solid enough to me for it to be my main long-term hold.
All that said, we're not talking a lot of money here (3-digit USD after the crash) and I'm not claiming any inside track. But I would rank ETH and BCH as the two most likely cryptos to still be holding their own in US dollar value a year from now (not the only ones, just the two most likely).
