How My School’s solar System Saves Me During National Grid Failure
Good evening everyone and welcome to my blog.
Living as a student in Nigeria during constant national grid failure is honestly one of the most stressful things ever 😭.
For the past few days, there has been little or no light around my area and the heat has been unbearable. Sleeping at night feels like punishment because everywhere is hot and uncomfortable.
At this point, my phone torch has become my best friend 😂. Once it gets dark, everybody suddenly turns into miners searching for light.
One funny thing about this situation is how my school’s Solar system keeps saving me. These days, going to school is no longer about books alone. My bag is now filled with electronics like charger, power bank, rechargeable lamp and every possible thing that needs charging 😭.
The moment I enter class, my first mission is to locate any available socket before another student grabs it first. If you dull, your phone battery will suffer that day 😂.
Sometimes during lectures, all I pray for is for the lecturer to end class early so we can rush back and charge our devices.
The funniest part is seeing students gathered around charging spots like it is a survival competition. Everybody is trying to survive one way or another.
Honestly, despite all the stress, Nigerian students always find a way to adapt and keep moving forward.
