It is amazing to have some rare physical activities that could really keep the body in shape, without using equipment found in gym centres.

There are said to be 9 offbeat physical activities that could be really useful to keeping the mind and body together. They include:

i Playing Tag


This has to do with playing a game called "Tag" which is recommended as an alternative to working out. It is a group game that could really get you exhausted after just a minute or two. Also, an option of playing basketball all alone by doing jumping jack could also suffice. The key is to get lost in whatever you're doing, as a kid would, in order to break from more structured exercise.

ii Bench Press A Kid


Rick Richey, owner of the Independent Training Spot in New York City_, Faculty for the National Academy of Sports Medicine recommended parents including their kids in their workout routine. This involves playing the game of "Tag" with their kids, being a human horse to their younger kids, shoulder press them, squat with them, and even more.

iii. Toast Your Running Habit


This is about making the physical activity to be more fun and less obligatory. Moderation is encouraged while carrying out an exercise for health and safety reasons.

iv. Running In Your Undies Or Away From Zombies


It is some kind of themed exercise event, with participants injecting flair for goofing off into the workout mix. This kind of exercise is believed to motivate people who are turned off by more straight-laced exercising, to be active.

v. Commune With Mother Nature


This is the ability to workout in an environment where a person could interact with nature. Jumping from one large rock to another, hiking, dashing through a wooded park while dodging trees, climbing trees or stacking heavy stones, are some of the recommended workouts that gets you closer to nature.

vi. Try The Amazing Towel 2017 Body Shaper


It is said that holding a towel in front of you and flapping it up and down for 30 seconds, or taking possibly an old towel you don't care about, planting your feet firmly on it and pull up to work your back muscles, could really serve the working out purpose.

vii. Use Your Body


Using your body to work yourself out is said to be probably the best thing to start with, rather than using equipment. Repeated stand up and sit down on a couch, doing that up-and-down for an increasingly long period as you're able; or simply stand in place and pump your arms back and forth as quickly as possible to increase your heart rate and work your core, could get the job done.

viii. Geek Out: Try Geocaching


This is real-world treasure hunting exercise that requires participants to use GPS coordinates to find what others have hidden.

ix. Get Your Side Hustle On


It is about squeezing out time for an exercise even when you aren't all out for a full workout. This just involves doing little exercises like: taking a tennis ball outside, and throwing it against the wall, playing catch with yourself, among others.
