7 SIMPLE HOME WORKOUTS TO STAY FIT
Majority of us have a gym membership but if we are to be honest, a good number of us never even use it. Its a bit like new years resolutions; everybody makes them but nobody really follows through. Besides, with all those barrel chested muscle men in the gym, its easy to feel discouraged. So here are some simple ways to work out from home.
- Push ups
This tried and tested work out never disapoints. Push ups can be done anywhere you can get enough space to stretch out. You lie diagonally on the ground and push your weight up with your arms repeatedly. This helps to tone your biceps and triceps and improves your stamina on top of having sexy arms. So how many push ups are you fit enough to complete? - Sit ups
Another tried and tested workout. Sit ups, or crunches, help to tone your belly muscles, and despite what is being told, sit ups can actually help with getting you abs. I have so pretty nice abs because i did sit ups in my younger days. - Planks.
Planks are done by getting down on your elbows and stretching out like you are doing push ups and then maintain that position for the maximum time possible. Planks help to strengthen your back, arms, abs, and shoulders and increase stamina. - Squats.
Squats are done by stretching out your arms, standing straight and then squatting into a sitting posture and then stand straight again. This workout helps to strengthen the thighs, hips, and buttocks. Ladies, where you at? This is for you (😊) - Lunges.
The lunge is done by planting one knee on the ground and the other foot down with the knee up and then pushing your lower body forwards. The plunge is good for the legs and flexibility of the pelvic area and hamstrings. - Jump rope.
This one is fairly simple and fun. Jumping rope helps to strenghen your heart rate and stamina and burns up to 16 colories per jump! Jumping rope also helps with your cognitive abilities and brain power since it involves rhythm and co-ordination. It also increase bone density on top of improving agility and quickness. Wow! Jumpings jacks are another traditional tried and tested workout. Chances are, you even did them when you were still a child. Jumping jacks are a wholesome excersise which get the whole body moving and improve heartrate. They also help to increase bone mass.
All these workouts, however must be supplemented by a good healthy diet. Also do not work out for consecutive days as the muscles need time to heal. Muscles are built in their healing time, not during work out. Now, get out there and get toned!
