LET IT BE TO ME ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD

“THEN MARY SAID, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! LET IT
BE TO ME ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD.” And the angel departed from her."
Luke 1:38 (NKJV)

One could see contradiction in Mary's response to the message received from the angel, compared with that of
Zechariah, a priest who is expected to know better (Luke 1:18-20). Mary simply said: "LET IT BE TO ME ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD."

The number of years in the Christian faith, or position held in the church or ministry, or the title of someone, does not determine the strength of the person's faith.

Faith grows through the hearing, reading, studying of the Word of God, and the application of whatever is learnt at the time of distress, and the believer's day-to-day activities—the practice of it (James 1:6,7).

You should pay attention to the development of your faith, it determines what you receive, or receive not, from God.

Unbelief would hinder the move of God in your life and ministry. It will tie God's hands in working, that is, His moves or doings are hampered by your Unbelief and doubt. Unbelief displeases God whilst faith pleases Him: "BUT WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE HIM, FOR HE WHO COMES TO GOD MUST BELIEVE THAT HE IS, AND THAT HE IS A REWARDER OF THOSE WHO DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM" (Hebrews 11:6 NKJV).

God wants and appreciates the simple faith and trust reposed in Him by a believer. If God said anything in His Word, the Bible, and it is clearly understood by you, He would not be happy seeing you acting contrary to that Word of His which He had made you understand—especially the words specifically told you as an individual believer.

In what way have you been doubting Him, making Him too small in your life? Repent now and allow Him to do whatever He had intended to do in your life. Your faith releases God to work on the matters of your life!

Peace.
