Baxter Dmitry of The People's Voice (formerly NewsPunch and YourNewsWire) writes hoax news articles that spread like a virus

in #fakenews5 years ago (edited)

Well-meaning people continue to unknowingly spread fake news articles written by notorious hoaxster Baxter Dmitry of The People's Voice (formerly NewsPunch and YourNewsWire).

The excellent radio host John B. Wells is the latest victim to fall prey to one of Baxter Dmitry's fake news stories. The one that ensnared him is the one Baxter made-up about Macaulay Culkin:

Macaulay Culkin blows whistle on French Radio in 2017 - Internet scrubbed all evidence.
We obtained full PDF - RT & download before it's scrubbed again.

Then, sadly, a World Series champion pitcher from the Boston Red Sox, the amazing Curt Schilling, took it from there, further spreading the hoax:

Now, while Snopes, in general, is hot garbage IMO, the author of this article debunking Baxter Dmitry's Macaulay Culkin story is likely telling the truth here:

...we were able to confirm with the help of Guillaume Brossard, founder of the French-language fact checking web site HoaxBuster, no such article appeared on the Les Echos web site, nor would such an article ever appear there. Les Echos is known for serious reporting on economic and political issues. They do not publish celebrity gossip. Moreover, Brossard tells us, the small amount of French readable in the screen shots is egregiously bad, and most likely translated to French from English using a service such as Google Translate.

What Snopes fails to do is delve deeper into Baxter Dmitry's dark underbelly of fake news stories from the not-too-distant-past, which shed additional light on his sneaky, hoaxing ways.

For example, here are a few of Baxter's greatest hoax-hits:

  1. CIA Agent Confesses On Deathbed: 'We Blew Up WTC 7 On 9/11'

  2. CIA Agent Confesses On Deathbed: 'I Killed Bob Marley'

  3. Retired MI5 Agent Confesses On Deathbed: 'I Killed Princess Diana'

Holy smokes, Baxter Dmitry is the go-to reporter for Deep State intel spooks on their deathbeds! :thick sarcasm:

As anyone with a modicum of discernment can see, Baxter takes a God's honest conspiracy (like 9/11), then spins-up a completely fabricated story to lay upon it (deathbed confessions. 3 of them. really!?).

The question is; why does he do it?

Is it simply for those sweet-sweet clicks, or is there something more sinister afoot?

Allow me to apply my conspiracy theorist cap here. *rustles up some tinfoil

Is it possible that Baxter Dmitry's motivations are to spread disinformation for the purpose of hurting the credibility of those who to choose to spread his fabricated news? Is his motivation to muddy the waters of online truth-seeking culture? Is there anything out there that would back-up such a theory?

Well, there is, actually.

You see, Cass Sunstein was Obama's 'information czar'. He co-wrote a scholarly paper about how the government might think about infiltrating areas online where conspiracy theorists exist, and flood them with disinformation. He called this method 'cognitive infiltration' (cough, flat earth, cough cough).

He also wrote that the government might want to consider making conspiracy theories illegal.

Sounds like a nice fella, huh?

Back in 2012, Cass Sunstein was confronted on-video about this very subject:

So, one has to ask; Is Baxter Dmitry from the Cass Sunstein school of disinfo? Or is he simply a fake news clickbait monkey who's really, really good at fooling well-meaning people who are desperately seeking the truth?

You decide. Or, 'theorize' if you will. :)

Sort:

yes, it's purposeful disinfo, and it's normally easy to spot by both its style and content. he's not the only one at it, the web is their tool, they rule the social networks and control of most information here.

they have control over academia, media, banking, justice, military, intelligence services, civil services, government and tech. focusing on useless and pointless entertainment/ entertainers, a frivolous unnecessary extra to life's real concerns is a waste of time.

i also put political games into the entertainment category. they whip you up about stuff that does not matter. what matters is your present and near-future, and how you will protect your family from the new world order.

peace.
