Conventional media goes fails on its commitment to the truth all the time. And it happens for all the reasons you think it happens. But for the most part they do not completely fake up stories. And yes, I am aware of the few examples that are brought up all the time and I am sure there are more, still these are exceptions.
Everyone pee in the swimming pool, but if someone is standing on the edge of the pool and piss on the heads of people inside, that's a different story, right?
I'm not entirely sure I follow you. I only endeavored to point out a couple of examples to shed light on a tactic I've noticed. It's only 1,000 words and not a book so a couple of examples should be more than enough to start a conversation. It's up to you to decide whether or not my observation holds water. Hopefully it does.
And yes, I like to pee in the pool...I think
