I am a softy for the old musicals... particularly Rogers and Hammerstein. I want to share with you a clip that tugs at my heart. Pull up a seat and help yourself to a cool one.

The Movie Clip

The video I have chosen is from the 1956 musical, Carousel. We witness the scene of Billy Bigelow's death as Julie is by his side. The widowed Julie is soon to give birth to a girl and is scared. She finds reassurance in the words of the song, 'You'll Never Walk Alone.' The scene changes to where Billy comes down from heaven to witness his daughters school graduation. Billy is played by Gordon MacRae and Julie is acted by Shirley Jones. You may remember Jones from the mother of the Partridge Family or Marian the librarian from 'The Music Man.' The Music

I have played and sung these songs often

We hear two songs from Carousel in this video. First, we hear the obvious song, 'You'll Never Walk Alone.' As Billy dies, we hear with violins in the background with the song, 'If I Loved You.' There is a sad irony being played in his final moments. Billy and Julie sung this earlier in the movie. They had a hard time admitting the reality that they loved each other. Even earlier, the musical showcases them doing, 'People Will say We're In Love.' Gee, who would dare tell others they were in love.

Longing to tell you but afraid and shy.
I'd let my golden chances pass me by.

The Messages

There are two themes that speak to us. I will direct this to families who are victim of the CPS foster care system, but it is applicable to all of us.

Tell Your Children You Love Them

Julie waited until after Billy was dead to say those words. Billy told Julie he loved her when at the end when he came down from heaven. When you are dead it is too late.

By telling your children you love then and putting it in action, this creates the glue. A family that loves one another is much harder to separate. Although the CPS is foaming at the mouth to kidnap your children, they find it near impossible when families are tight. They have a much harder time making up lies and reaching quotas. Indeed Tennile was right that love will keep us together.

Demonstrate your love for your child and build that trust. Educate your children on the falsehood and lies of the CPS, so they are not deceived. Remember that your bond need to be strong. If the CPS can find a weakness in your family, they will. Don't let them.

Have Faith

Hold your head up high and don't be afraid of the dark

You know the CPS Foster Care system loves to intimidate and deceive with lies. This is the darkness. You will experience wind and rain and yes... your dreams will be tossed and blown. But without that faith, you are helpless prey and are an easy meal for this monster. You must have hope and faith in your heart. Only then will you be able overcome the storms of theft and corruption when the government rings your doorbell. Hold on to your dreams and never let go. There is an entity there who will bring your through this. You must believe for your child... and your family.

And you'll never walk alone

A Broken Home

We see how Julie's child, Louise, was left fatherless. Many families are today and they are easy prey for the CPS. Julie did not have a choice in going it alone in raising her daughter. But today the CPS would be targeting her and stalking her every move. Yet, she held on to the faith and believed. She did not walk alone in her journey. Today's CPS prefers a broken home to target. That's why it is even more crucial to believe and have faith.

This to shall pass.

This will not go on forever. There is a rainbow at the end and the sweet silver song of a lark. Know there is an end and believe it will not be forever. Move forward though the dark tears, misery, nightmares and pain. Move forward to the sun and the rainbow that waits to greet you.

You Do Not Walk Alone

There are many who have traveled this road before. They have dealt with the lies and filth of the CPS and are knowledgable to the their tricks. These folks are more than willing to help you and guide you through your storm. They are in pro-family groups and even here on the internet. Folks like @familyprotection on Steemit, are there to give guidance and help educate you so your faith is strong and your pathway lit. These folks are dedicated to protecting families and children. They value innocence and believe in truth and real justice. I encourage you to support @familyprotection as they bring freedom from the storms of the CPS.

Final Thoughts

Simple movie clips like this one can have a valuable message if you listen. Let it speak to you with love and believe. Only then will you overcome the storms of life.
