I have to agree! I had a low grade infection after surgery last April. It eventually improved but I didn’t feel completely well. Then in early June I developed a raging fever of 40.6 degrees for 3 days... no other symptoms except a headache, but when I recovered I felt like a new person. I’m certain my immune system was doing a proper clean up after the wound infection, and perhaps burning off the left over toxins from the anaesthesia and pain meds post op!
Fevers can be unpleasant but they definately do a really important job!!

Wow @catherinesmith, that is great! Don't you notice in your cases that very few adults have fevers now? I don't expect to see them in most European or US adults who are over 25-30 years old. It's a bad thing. These people are moving into or already have substantial chronic health conditions. The fact that you can burn a fever of this sort is very encouraging. :-D

I went through this flu epidemic without fever. Not good :-(
