True Gold & The Time For Carefully Loving
"It's time for carefully loving!" whispered the angel that sits on Miriam's shoulder.
She looked at the gold; it had a tempting shine and a questioning value. Her sister didn't want it. She just wanted somehow and somewhat to control who will get it, whose name is going to be engraved on its glossy surface, when, and how. Her brother was obsessed with it for entirely wrong reasons.
Miriam was suspicious, having that strong feeling that something is not right. She examined that shiny item from all the angles. It was an item, put in front of them as a testing item. None of her siblings realized that. Maybe just her sister, slightly, subconsciously, somewhere deep inside.
She wanted to scream, "It's not gold! It's a magnificent deception! It's just a test! Great test! Test of love, trust, honesty, and fidelity!" but the angel on her shoulder didn't allow her to speak.
- "Give them and leave them the freedom of choice!" He whispered in her ear.
She pulled back and stood silent. Her heart was tearing apart in a million tiny pieces.
"Why I have to witness and go through all of these?" - Miriam didn't manage to think that thought through when her angel spoke again.
- "To give them a chance!" he said.
- "What chance? What for?" She wanted but was afraid to ask.
It was the time of engraving! Involved parties made their decisions.
Besides two small names already engraved, the more prominent bold name started to appear on the shiny golden surface.
When the engraving process ended, Miriam looked at the angel still sitting on her shoulder and asked him, "What now? What is going to happen?"
- "Nothing!" He replied shortly. She raised her eyebrow, so he continued, "There should be only one name, and you know that. The name of the person to whom the previous rightful owner intended the gold."
She took a big breath and didn't say anything, just quickly sat down on the ground.
The angel on her shoulder lost the balance and almost fell. After a few small complaints about her quick unannounced moves, he continued explaining.
- "The bold engraved name that just appeared on the golden surface doesn't have hands long enough to reach that gold, neither anyone else can bring it to that person or move it, and most likely the person would never be able to see that gold live again. The sun will melt the gold until the unrightfully engraved names request to be removed or going to be melted down through time, entirely."
- "But what I should do now?" - Miriam wanted to know.
- "Nothing! I told you! You've done your part long ago. Don't worry about them. They will have one more chance. One, only! But, it's not your responsibility anymore. You cared and loved a lot, even maybe too much, and for sure way more than they deserved."
She was sitting still, catching the breath. She lowered her head to hide her face through which the tears were unstoppable rolling down, drop after drop. But he saw it anyway. After all, he is the angel.
- "Don't be sad!" He said with the most gentle voice an angel could have.
"You didn't lose them either the gold. They lost themselves, and therefore they lost you too including everything else they cared about. It's not your fault!"
Miriam raised her head and looked at her angel's eyes. She was still speechless. He smiled.
- "Gold?" He said as she asked him the question that she didn't.
- "The true gold can't be alienated from you no matter if your name is engraved in that particular piece of gold with tiniest letters or not at all, just because the God engraved his golden name in the golden heart that he gave to you."
Her mouth and eyes were wide open.
- "You see?!" - The angel cheerfully swung on her shoulder.
- "It's not the time to worry either for sadness, only to sow your golden seeds carefully. Therefore, I told you at the beginning, It's time for carefully loving!"

beautiful story but sad. It's sad but the meaning to understand to the reader is hard to foget. Loving someone is precious than a gold.
