#Fiction: Mirror of Children's Life in War Land
MY FULL NAME is Ahmed Aljuwadi, my regular friends call me Ahmed. I was born and raised in a land full of massacres, Palestine, yes, this country has been a witness to the Zionist atrocities. In this land thousands of people have died because of their rights taken by the Israeli army.
This month of Ramadan is a good month to multiply the charity of worship in the mosque, but that does not apply to us, our daily lives are controlled by the Israeli soldiers, we can not freely worship in mosques and other services. The sound of gunfire was nothing unfamiliar to us, as if it had become the decoration of our lives.
I had a friend named Fathah, one foot of Fathah had to be amputated by a bomb installed by Israeli soldiers. On that occasion also father and mother died of the explosion of the bomb. Even so, Fathah still has a high spirits of life, he was nurtured by his grandmother who is getting old.
Fathah and I often spent time playing near the house, my mother forbade us to play too far because it could be at any time the Zionist soldiers attacked very cruelly. Now nearly 4 years old Fathah is abandoned by her father and mother, she has no one but grandmother and a goal to become a doctor. His heart was moved when he saw many wounded Palestinians but had very limited doctors.
Entering the fourth year of fasting month, Fathah felt lonely, she often invited me to break my fast at my house, my mother and father were very happy to receive Fathah. Fathah is an intelligent child, he even memorized some Qur'anic juz and has a good reputation in his school.
In his heart, Fathah always wished for the conflict in Palestine to end soon, he did not want his grandmother and his ideals run aground just because of the bloody war committed by the Zionist Israel. May Allah grant it!
