The Dirtbag Vernacular [Original Novel]
ENTRY 13
Although I’ve been working full time for a couple of weeks I still haven’t got my first full-time paycheck. My money is pretty low so every night I try to get Linda to buy a bottle of wine for the two of us which I normally drink two thirds of. I also sneak a shot of her Christmas vodka whenever I can. On one of these instances, after going back for thirds I drop one of the nice Absolut shot gasses in the sink breaking it. I don’t bother telling Linda but simply toss it in the trash. The odds are that the broken glass will be blamed on Linda’s accident prone roommate Courtney who breaks cups, glasses, and dishes on almost a daily basis in the kitchen.
“My room is in a constant mess…! Orange pissed all over my new shoes…! You don’t ever clean up your burrito mess in the kitchen and you drank all my vodka!” Linda responds when I hint that I want to stay another month.
“You want me to live in the Tenderloin?” I ask.
“You have to go!”
