The Boss's Challenge

"Timothy... how are we going to do this now?"
John said with a worried tone.
"Just to get some important team members together and start working on it.. don't worry, anything is possible, " Timothy said
The calmness in Timothy's tone calmed John down a little, but it was not enough to stop him from worrying.

They decided to get a team together needed for the create and organisation of the rental program.
They got together:
Tech/IT lead, Financial accountant, Marketing manager, customer service team, fleet manager and operational managers...

A certain Man was recently employed and showed interest in joining the team... So he was accepted..

They started working on setting up the rental program... their brains racking on what could make their program unique since basically every rental program is the same.
They worked late, and everyone was doing a good job.

They made the program easily accessible and easy for customers to navigate and book rides without much stress. They decided to put their car rental program to be active 24/7... that means even during off commuting hours, customers who might be stranded can easily book rides.
They reduced the pricing of the rides at those hours to make it customer-friendly..
They included Wifi in their cars, and different brands of cars too.

They created Social media groups and chats for customers to easily contact the Rentals, not just through phone calls.. The project was going well.
By the time they were done with all this, 4 weeks had already gone by.

"Timothy... I still feel like the progress is very slow... and we almost forgot about the promotional offers," John said, pacing up and down as they were cross-checking the program.
***"Calm down, John.. I didn't forget... Here is my idea... We will give a 20% discount to the first 10 Customers who book our ride once the launch is stabilized. And I also think we should create Pay-as-you-go offers like Zip rides. Also, I think we should use AI-driven prices during off-commuting hours. *** Timothy said

"That's a very good idea... we should tell the team about it," John said
They shared it with the team, and in the next few days, all these modifications were added.

5 weeks and 3 days had passed by... they had a few days to present it to their boss..
But when they were rounding up... their boss barged into the office.
"What is going on here... have you checked the headlines... who is snitching on my company and revealing company secrets... You have 24 hours to identify who I'll fire all of you!" He said

Everyone ran to check... A rival company had released a car rental program too, and by the time the team looked closely, all the programs they had in theirs were featured there; all their ideas were leaked...
The entire team was worried...

"Where's that tech guy.... I think Sam is his name."
Timothy said... Sam was nowhere to be found...

They all started looking for him... they found out he was in a particular room in the office...
When they got there, he seemed to be making a phone call to someone.

"We did it, sir... we totally crushed them... they have no more plans in motion," He said
Timothy and the team barged into the office, and Sam was stunned. He stared at them, embarrassment and guilt clearly written on his face.

"Sam... we worked tirelessly on this project... we overcame all the hurdles together... we formed bonds and stood strong... but you decided to break it all. Please kindly take your stuff and leave because we worked togethe.r"
With their investigation, they realized that he actually came from the rival company... to spy on them...
They sacked him!!!

Now they had to make the program more unique.
"I have a great idea... Add child seats. In the case of mothers with babies, special services like doorstep drop-off can capture the attention of the customers. Imagine also if we partner with Large organizations like hotels, airports and the rest of them... our program will be unique," Timothy said

They had just 2 days to make all these changes... They worked tirelessly for 48 hours to get the program updated... and together they were victorious.
With the insider gone, they added all these and showed them to their boss.
After the presentation, their boss stood up and worked around them and said...
"You have gone beyond my expectations... I thought I had given you an impossible task... but you've proven to me that nothing is too big a challenge to you... You will be adequately rewarded."

He was impressed with their work, and they were able to deliver a good blow to the rival company... It was a success.
