this was definitley the case also in Patagonia. The town I lived in, Puerto Varas and a town just north, Fruitillar, both heavily German influenced and lots of flowers
Wow..I never imagined Patagonia like that...sounds interesting...I'll look it up...
Yeah, the Germans started immigrating there in 1840. Prior to them arriving, the land was basically uninhabitable.
