Food and Health Awareness | Boosting Health with Durian
Durian is often referred to as the "king of fruits" in Southeast Asian countries, but is native to Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei, and possibly also the Philippines, but the debate is still continuing for this matter. It is a one-foot long, 6-inch wide fruit with a hard, sharp appearance and a series of yellow to red flesh. Out of 30 species, only 9 are commonly used for cooking purposes, and only one is available internationally. This species is called Durio zibethinus.
Health Benefits of Durian
Aids Digestion
Durian, like many "fleshy" fruits, contains high levels of dietary fiber, which is essential for the proper functioning of many systems in the body, including the digestive system.
Anti-aging
In traditional herbs, durian is often considered a tool for the fight against aging, and it is also one of the main reasons why people call it "the king of fruits". The fact that durian has a variety of antioxidant properties, derived from its vitamins and its organic chemical components, actively reduces the number of free radicals in the body.
Cures Insomnia
This fruit contains an amino acid called tryptophan. Tryptophan is an organic chemical that is closely related to falling asleep after Thanksgiving, and it is used widely in turkeys. By adding tryptophan to your diet, it enters your brain and is converted to serotonin, which induces a sense of relaxation and joy. The excess serotonin then releases melatonin into the blood, causing a feeling of fatigue and eventually the disappearance of the body. If you suffer from insomnia, wear some durians before trying to fall asleep and see the results yourself.
Treats Anemia
Durian contains some important minerals and vitamins, but it also contains high levels of folic acid (Vitamin B9), which is an important part of red blood cell production.
Anti-aging is great ablity and reduce free radical.
