Today I bring you a delicious vegan version of the Caesar salad, perhaps this is the most popular salad in the gastronomic world, and although it is a dish that carries a high percentage of vegetables, has some ingredients of animal origin that we will intelligently replace by-products of vegetable origin, making a salad much more nutritious and healthy. Vegan Caesar Salad
My secrets INGREDIENTS
♡ 125g of tofu
♡ 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
♡ 3 teaspoons nutritional yeast
♡ 1 clove of garlic
♡ 1 piece of hydrated kombu seaweed (about 2x2cm)
♡ 2 tablespoons lemon juice
♡ 1 pinch ground black pepper
♡ 1 pinch of salt
For the salad
♡ 100g of lettuce or green leaves that you like the most
♡ 1 handful of walnuts
♡ 1 handful of croutons
♡ 180 g of "original snacks" heura
PREPARATION
Cooking time: 5min
Total: 25min
Making salad does not require great skill in the kitchen, the first step is to wash the vegetables very well with a little vinegar letting them soak for about 5 minutes. Then drain and set aside.
We will put to part to hydrate the seaweed of kombu, while it is hydrated, we will put to defrost the morsels of heura, we will choose a good frying pan with a little oil we will put to sauté to medium fire, this is a perfect substitute of the meat, in addition it offers all the benefits of the vegetable protein. Just 5 minutes to be ready.
Then we will begin to prepare the sauce, and the seaweed is hydrated, so we put it in our blender next to the tofu that we have chopped into small pieces, put some yeast, oil, garlic, salt, pepper and finally, lemon juice.
Once the sauce has been prepared, we only need to finish preparing the salad so we will choose a good bowl where we will place the lettuce previously washed and drained, and immediately we will place the other ingredients, the sauce, walnuts. Stir well until all the ingredients are incorporated.
