Homemade onion rings, appetizer recipe
Today we are going to learn how to make homemade onion rings, an appetizer recipe that works when they are crispy on the outside and very juicy on the inside. With the tricks that I am going to tell you, you will never use the rings that sell frozen because it is really easy to get a perfect result at home.
If you fry them at the moment and drain them well so that they do not have any oil, they will be perfect when it comes to snacking and they will also be a great garnish for hamburgers and other fast food dishes. Do not stop doing them at home.
Ingredients
For 4 people
1 Onion cut into rings
Wheat flour
150 g
1 egg
Milk
200 ml
Bread crumbs
Chemical yeast 1 teaspoon
Salt to taste
To make these onion rings, crunchy and tasty, we start cutting the onion into discs. Once we cut the rings, we passed the rings for flour and we reserved them.
We complete that same flour with the milk, the yeast and the well-beaten egg. In that dough, we overcoat the onion rings with flour and then we go through the bread crumbs. Meanwhile, we put the oil to heat.
Fry the onion rings in batches of five or six to maintain the temperature of the oil and so that the rings do not touch each other. When they are well browned, we drain them on an absorbent paper and bring them to the table, noting that they are usually very hot inside.
