What you should know about 'Chicken Asshole House'

Guess what the heck it is.

I found this weird word in a photo of menu on the Internet.
Probably this is a wall hanging menu of soju bar.
It says '닭똥집 + 소주(soju)' in Korean.
(* 볶음 = fried)

You maybe astonished and thinking who the heck came out with the idea of cooking and eating chicken's butt.

It's just a food name which was translated in a funny way.

I'll tell you a story behind of it.

Firstly, It's gizzard. Not chicken's anal part.

But in Korea, people call it literally 'chicken's asshole'.
Because the word 'asshole' is an old slang for 'stomach' and 'gizzard'.

Then what happened to the following word 'House'?

Now I have to disassemble the word "똥집".

똥집
= 똥(Poo) + 집(House)

You know, your stomach is a place where your poo stays for hours.
Owner of the soju bar google translated the word and got this chimera vocabulary.

This is how gizzard became Chicken's Anal-parts House.
