What the hell are we feeding our youth?

The child that I saw eating a whole box of these couldn't have been more than six years old.

He was rather calm when he began eating this 'treat' and as I watched him eat, the more tweeked out and rambunctious he became. By the end poor thing was bouncing off the walls, ceiling, floor. We need to treat sugar like a psychotropic substance, because it is! Poor thing couldn't metabolize all of that processed sugar, artificial colors, and chemicals.

I admit, I was judging the woman who was watching him. Maybe it was his mom or nanny ..... I thought, "how can she let him eat this whole box?!?! HOW? Isn't she noticing how he is responding to it through his behavior?" However, I found a forgiving breath and softened because a lot of people just don't know the severity of implications from processed foods such as this.

We have to to increase our awareness without judgement and change what we feed our children and what we consider to be 'treats.' Thanks for reading!
