The need of cassava is increasing: Inventory vs. Importing

Introduction
Along with the development of the world. Population growth is also increasing, in addition to food development is increasing. Increased food consumption coupled with the type and amount of food. Food sources are increasingly varied, to be processed and consumed as food.

The need of cassava in Indonesia is increasing. Because cassava can be used as food, feed and industrial raw materials.

Food. Many types of processed foods from cassava, such as tapioca, tape, chips.

Feed. Cassava is used as ingredients in fish feed pellets, poultry and ruminant livestock.

Industrial raw materials. One of the materials used in making bioethanol is cassava.

To meet the various needs of these three aspects then discourse to import cassava.

Therefore, cassava cultivation needs to be encouraged in Indonesia. It would be nice for every region to think and cultivate cassava.
