Meet up with High School Alumni and Dinner for 40 years
I met my high school alumni for 40 years by chance. I have met these friends periodically, but my friends had met each other for 40 years. 40 years are not a short time.
When we had studied in high school, we were young boys. Now the wrinkles were made deeply on our face.
I worried whether they would recognize each other. When they looked at each other, they shouted “you are not changed, you are as same as the freshman in high school ”.
“Oh my god. Are you kidding ? You are totally different from the fresh man of high school.
My friends ! 40 years have passed since we met first time in high school.” I said.
We all laughed loudly.
It was impressive experience that even though we were old enough to retire from our job, we could find the appearance of our young days.
I thought that the reason my friends have preserved their young day’s appearance was that they kept the purity of their life.
I know how they have went through the difficulties in their lives. It was amazing they have kept their attitude and the moral standard withstanding the difficulties.
As a result of this attitude in their lives, they could preserve their appearance of young day’s.
We had talked so much on our high school days. We all remembered our teachers and friends.
The best thing of meet up with old friends is having a dinner together.
We went to old restaurant located in Daehakro, the downtown of Seoul.
This restaurant was as old as us.
The name of restaurant was ‘Haewhadong kalguksu’. They have served noodle for several decades. The appearance of this restaurant have not been changed yet, since the restaurant was opened at first.
There were lots of people inside.
We ordered side dishes for the toast.
Yellow one is fried fish with egg cover.
Bassak Bulgogie (Dried Bulgogie)
Boiled octopus.
We drank several cups of fruit wine. I know they were heavy drinker. But they didn’t drink as before for the health. We became old.
There is no exception in aging.
Last main dish was noodle.
It was excellent. I strongly recommend to have a taste when you visit Korea.
After finishing dinner, we went into the caffe near the restaurant and continued to talk each other.
We got back to home after meet up.
When could we meet again together? Another 40 years from now ?
Nobody knows.
Only the destiny would permit us to meet again.

Yea... Good job and when it's come to old friend there is a lot of happiness and fun.
It is so good to meet old friends that haven't met each other for years.
We are all getting older after school. but from the eyes of our classmates, we are still the young boys in heart.
The happiest thing is that when the old friends met and said : " you have not changed a bit just like years ago ." that is really a good feeling .
Yes! What is more important is that you can cherish each other's feelings for a long time.

It's what's on the inside that counts! The happiest and most energetic people I know are also some of the oldest I know, there's so much more to a person than age.
