#3 Post-FOOD(Dark Choclate Truffles Recipe)
Hello,
A chocolate truffle is a type of chocolate confectionery, traditionally made with a chocolate Ganache(Ganache is a filling for pastries made from chocolate and cream. Ganache is normally made by heating cream, then pouring it over chopped chocolate.) centre coated in chocolate, cocoa powder.
Chocolate Truffles name is derived from the traditional shape, which resembles the truffle, an edible part of the tuber fungus.
There are three types of chocolate truffles :-
- French truffle
- Belgian truffle
- Swiss truffle
The "French truffle" is made with fresh cream and chocolate and then rolled into cocoa or nut powder.
The "Belgian truffle" is made with dark or milk chocolate filled with ganache, buttercream or nut pastes.
The "Swiss truffle" is made by combining melted chocolate into a boiling mixture of dairy cream and butter, which is poured into molds to set before sprinkling with cocoa powder. Like the French truffles, these have a very short shelf-life and must be consumed within a few days of making.
Ingredients:-
1/2 cup raw natural unsweetened cocoa
1 tbsp honey/agave
6 dates
A splash of almond milk
1 tbsp Cinnamon
Pinch of salt
1 tbsp peanut butter crunchy
14 almonds
10 grams dried shredded coconut
Directions:-
To a medium mixing bowl, add cocoa, salt and cinnamon and mix together.
Deseed the dates and add to a small blender with the milk and blend for around half a minute. It doesn't have to be smooth. Add this, peanut butter and honey to the mixing bowl and stir till combined. Grease both your hands with a few drops of olive oil and take a small round of the mixture. Add an almond in the middle and roll into a ball using your palms. Repeat the same with the rest of the mixture. Once done, roll over a flat plate with the coconut flakes. Freeze for half hour and enjoy :)

Thanks for posting this. Looks awesome. May I request you to edit or modify your recipe to exclude honey from it? Only then it can be called cruelty-free or vegan. Was it Varsha who termed it as "vegan" or you? Otherwise, the recipe is perfect and seems delicious.
Thank you @xyzashu yes varsha termed it as vegan i will ask her and change it.
