Uokatsu Japanese Restaurant
You know how much I LOVE searching for good food especially cuisines of other types. Italian, Korean, Japanese, American and many more. Yesterday, a friend of mine introduced a really good Japanese restaurant where they sell fresh seafood cuisines. The place was pretty packed with people when I arrived at 12pm. That is a good sign. The tables were separated to adhere to covid SOP regulations and to my surprise, it was still pretty spacious eventhough the shop itself was only about 700 sqft or less.
I got there early and booked a table of four for my friends. The menu is pretty straight forward and simple, which is good considering the amount of Japanese terms on it that I had to take some time to understand what dish was serving what seafood. I ended up with the dry air fry soba, which according to my friend was quite simple to make but so far, this restaurant served me the best!
I only had the saba fish and the trout belly which was also really fresh and good. The portions were pretty generous too and without all the fancy platings. It's as simple as it gets. Simple, good and fresh seafood. The cabbage salad was one of a kind and I'm not sure if I've had this good of a salad before. The portion of the saba fish was one of the biggest I've had, mostly because other restaurant usually give me 1/2 a portion but this restaurant gave me a full size fish. The trout belly was really fresh. Good thick cut slices that melts in your mouth almost immediately accompanied with the sour radishes to clean my palate.
Overall, I will definitely recommend anyone who wants to have a good Japanese seafood meal to come here. The prices ranges from 4usd to 15usd which is VERY affordable and is considered middle class.
