RE: Dwayne Haskins, Ohio State, QB #7

in #football7 years ago

Ohio State is entering a new era starting with spring football on March 6.

The Buckeyes will have a new starting quarterback after J.T. Barrett's four seasons as either the starter or part-time starter.

More than likely, it's going to be Dwayne Haskins as the replacement. Haskins got his opportunity to back up Barrett after Joe Burrow broke his hand in fall camp last summer.

When he got in the games, particularly in injury relief of Barrett in the second half against Michigan, Haskins showed off his potential and arm talent.

In his season backing up Barrett, Haskins completed 40 of 57 passes (70.2 percent) for 565 yards, four touchdowns and an interception.
