As night follows day, another Manchester City win follows a new round of EPL fixxures.

Game 2: Southampton v Manchester United - 2 - 2

It follows Manchester United season that Southampton manager Mark Hughes was sacked after his team 'only' secured a draw against United after squandering a two goal lead. In times past a gutsy draw against the Red Devils would have been enough to earn a stay of execution. How things have changed!

Game 3: Chelsea v Fulham - 2 - 0

It was an unhappy return for former Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri as his new chargese Fulham went down two nil.

Game 4: Arsenal v Tottenham - 4 - 2

Arsenal showed fight and spirit to see of their North London rivals Spurs. Bragging rights restored as the Gooners also leapfrogged Tottenham in the table.

Game 5: Liverpool v Everton - 1 - 0

The strangest of injury time winners earned Liverpool an uplifting win against Everton. Virgil van Dijk shankled a shot that looked to be heading onto the roof ofthe net until Everton goalkeeping Jordan Pickford parred it into play only forforgotten man Divock Origi to head home the winner. You really couldn't have made that sequence of events up!
