RE: The Infrastructure Racket

in #freedom7 years ago

This past summer in Oregon I spoke with a guy working on a road project by my house. I was shocked to hear that they came all the way from Colorado and Arizona. He bragged that the girls flagging traffic were making $34 an hour and the paving crew upwards of $60 an hour, and this was only the first 40 hours. They would work 60 hours. He said they only work federal contracts because they pay 💰 big.

I found it very disturbing that in an area where good jobs are nonexistent, local people were not able to get paid well to fix their own roads.

The out of state crew worked all summer sucking massive $ and doing a horrible job. The idea that local companies and workers could not come together wth the community and do a better job for way less is absurd.

Hey neighbor! Idaho here, Hell's Canyon area. Are you in east, west or central Oregon?

In AZ for the winter but am from the central coast inland from Florence about 40 miles. I agree about the roads. Planned obsolescence. Gotta keep the slaves busy

Yep. A busy slave is a non-revolting slave.
Well, enjoy your weather. Looks like winter just got rolling for me!
