Playing SteemLudo while I wait.g

While waiting for Sunday dinner, I thought I could quickly play a game of Ludo to kill time until I was called; the match started out very evenly matched—almost symmetrical.

A moment later, I chased down one of the Ludobot's pieces that had just left its home base; fortunately, I rolled the exact number needed and was able to send it back.

Later on, I was able to do the same thing; I moved ahead with two high dice rolls and managed to capture another piece—right then and there, I thought I was going to win the game.

Later on, in retaliation, the Ludo-bot captured two of my pieces; that evened things up regarding crowned pieces, but it was still further ahead than I was.

Then it turned into a race; he was moving forward and I was moving forward, to the point where he crowned his third piece and was trying to do the same.

At this stage of the game, neither player could capture the other's pieces anymore; we were advancing in parallel, racing to reach the finish line first.

We reached the finish line neck and neck, but my opponent rolled the exact number needed to win first—and that was the story of the match. I feel that, even though I lost, I’m getting better at playing; I know where to prioritize my moves to advance more effectively. Maybe next time.

I also hope to play a match against a real person to see how it differs from playing against the Ludobot; the strategy would certainly change when playing with more than two people, but I’d have to arrange that with friends.
